The amount of plastic waste from one cannula. It doesn’t need to be like this - it’s entirely possible to cut down on single use plastic while not compromising on patient safety. More conversations need to be had about #SustanibilityinMedicine among those in positions of power.

Decided that for my first post, I’m sharing the first ever thank you note I received from a patient. A lovely lady from Texas who had a femoral neck fracture while on vacation here in Florence, Italy.
