In 2020, 21 year Markus Garvey Obiri Agyei who was in his 4th year at the KNUST School of Pharmaceutical Science suffered a Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke) which affected his cognitive function and speech to the extent that he had to learn the alphabets all over again.💔
He also had some weakness in the right upper and lower limbs. A Computed Tomographic (CT) scan done confirmed a chronic left basal ganglia and left frontal infarcts.
He underwent physiotherapy including speech therapy. In 2021 which was his 5th year, he couldn’t take it so he had to stay back home for another year.
After years of intensive medical treatment, Markus Garvey Obiri Agyei has finally graduated as Doctor of Pharmacy.
