Action Stations (Bingley & Crossflatts) is a group of friendly volunteers who have "adopted" our local train stations on the Airedale line in West Yorkshire.
@WYP_Steerside @WYP_Shipley@WYP_PC522 This just came up in my timehop! Can something be done about the bike going up and down the canal towpath 3 or 4 times a week in Bingley. Often when dark but nearly knocking folk who refused to move over into canal on Sunday afternoon
@BradfordSkills @northernassist Its actually a project by @_ActionStation , a group of Community volunteers looking after Bingley Station. Many thanks to @BDA_Deaf, @BecSchCommunity students for the artwork & the deaf student at Hanson School for his signing video. Also to @CommunityRail for funding the project
Here's our community project raising awareness of communication issues, particularly amongst deaf sign language users. Many thanks to @BDA_Deaf for their knowledge and input, @BecSchCommunity Beckfoot School students for their amazing artwork and @CommunityRail for sponsoring us!
@Bingley_Dir Thanks Neil, what other info do you need? I can send you Derrick's Chairs report from the AGM last month, or our 1000 word entry to the competition, that just about summarises all our projects that are on the go.
We have only gone and done it; Lead Silver award in the Its Your Station category, a huge trophy and £250 to boot as well! Not bad for a group that has only been going for 2 years.

The excitement builds this Community Rail Awards eve in Telford, as we get ready to celebrate all the fantastic #CommunityRail work that's taken place over the last 12 months.
Follow #CRA19 tomorrow evening to find out who are the deserving winners.
Took the opportunity over the weekend to visit North Yorkshire's Knaresborough Station.
A fantastic example of how a proactive friends group can make a station a welcoming hub for the community.
