@Raz_Ciuca @granawkins Don’t get me wrong, it’s still several hundred dollars of equipment (not counting the oscilloscope or laptop) so you need some disposable income to do this sort of thing, but I suspect that’s not the limiting factor for most people, it’s the requisite knowledge and motivation

@Raz_Ciuca @granawkins Have you seen his videos? He’s pretty frugal as far as spending, just has a 3D printer and a nice oscilloscope. In this specific video, cheaps out on as much as he can, only buying expensive parts (still not that expensive, like ~$200) when he’s tried everything else

@Unixsystem13 @Resko727 @granawkins If anything, his capabilities wrt tools are the least impressive thing about him. Just a pretty basic 3D printing setup as far as I know. His resourcefulness in other regards, as well as deep knowledge of physics and electronics is what sets him apart.

My advice is to make furniture that will outlast you. Make one piece per year. Make it weigh 200lb and made out of the best materials you can afford at the time. TIG welded this out of steel tube and a 2in slab of Padauk.

Therefore a flash drive with all ‘1’s stored would weigh more. But that’s assuming unused memory is all ‘0’s, which isn’t always the case

@MortConsumCoach @m3_melody I don’t understand your point. You say demand outpaced supply, therefore prices will go down? Appreciation doesn’t just happen, clearly demand was greater than supply. Now that appears to be flipping, therefore prices have been decreasing and are due to decrease further
