@ThomasFrankCarr So you actually do not want players paid FMV as you claimed in the original post. You want them all capped. Universities, coaches, and networks too, or just the players?
Only took 10 hours to speak what u really believe.
@ThomasFrankCarr This is an economic principle and issue whether you want to believe it is or not.
I can also both care about CFB and at the same time have a different view on the long term fix. I simply do not believe you will ever be able to centrally plan a solution.
@ThomasFrankCarr I do not buy the distinction between sports and any other marketplace. The marketplace (fans viewership, donations) is the regulation if the conferences overstep. Of course they will overstep, and the market will check them
@ThomasFrankCarr Fans hate it then they’ll stop donating. The action of donating speaks louder than the words of saying they hate it. Or they hate it cause their school is being left behind.
That was my original point of giving it time to find that equilibrium
@ThomasFrankCarr “Not an economics debate”… proceeds to try and have an economics debate and make passive aggressive insults.
Pire competition never leads to monopolies. Intervention does.
Have a good day, Karl.
