@EkmezEwu@Prunkundshiva Have you never just done a job just for the money? Never done a job because it makes you feel powerful? It's not complicated, if you hire people with poor morals, they will shape the institutions they work at to have poor morals.
@blacknredtext I've done all those things but it doesn't necessarily change much - gender relations are at their absolute worst, perhaps even at an all time history of humanity worst.
@11975MHz I'm pretty sure this is what dignified means to them. Plenty don't want anything to do with "the white man's culture/values" - wish I was kidding
@ShitpostRock2 It's certainly your prerogative - Not sure what the big deal is though if some parents just don't want to deal with that. It's an abused practice to be sure, but I'm not referring to those particular people.
@BIMBOSATTVA_ Very understandable tbh. Can't say I'm not disappointed but as with most modern infrastructure - it's moreso about what works, not what looks good.
One of the things I can never get over is how every city I visit these days looks so decrepit and run down. I expect civil, skilled, intelligent people to be the ones living in/populating and maintaining a city.
Ohhh no. It's never that. Like, ever. How do they stay afloat?
@Jennie_VT_ Not a preference for many. It's taught - repeated exposure to women and the new digital commons has taught men that exposure is risky and more trouble than it's worth 9 times out of 10.
When almost every encounter you make with a woman is a negative one, you just give up.
