A left wing snob was mansplaining to a woman why she should undress in front of men in women's changing rooms.
She let him ramble on for a few minutes before this epic interruption
Fine example of a snobby ideology clashing with working class reality.🍿
@tombennett71@Mr_Raichura It’s horrific. Lifeless beings that will retain very little knowledge that’s applicable to roles they’ll pick up in the future for work, pleasure or social engagement.
@sarahloscombe@JamesAFurey 3 nights of the week, I’ll privately tutor to supplement my income. I play sports, I have a new baby.
Teaching is just part of my life and I’m paid the same as colleagues that are there until 6pm and we all get very similar results every year.
@sarahloscombe@JamesAFurey CPOMS - 10 minutes a week to report things 🤷🏻♂️
Ringing parents - very, very rare. SIMS for achievement points / behaviour points / SLT call outs. That’s communication with home.
Or I’ll email if something unique.
@sarahloscombe@JamesAFurey I haven’t sat and marked a book since my NQT year. I live mark and the children with self/peer assess.
Lesson prep - I teach maths and have bought into White Rose for the independent worksheets. I’ll sometimes use the PowerPoints provided, or just a blank board and teach live.
@jcapital54@JamesAFurey Type the criteria that you’re grading it on into chat GPT.
Upload all the essays to be marked.
It’ll take you 15 minutes to have a mark for them all.
There should be consequences for parents that make vexatious complaints about teachers that are proven to be false. The complaint culture that has blown up in recent years - I reckon it’s fast becoming a key reason teachers quit, esp when they get no protection from leaders.
@technologylaura Nope. I get in just before the kids & leave just after them.
There are plenty of resources available so you don’t need to re-invent the wheel 😊
