Number of Female MPs:
- LPC: 68 (40%)
- CPC: 26 (18%)
- BQ: 5 (23%)
- NDP: 4 (57%)
- GPC: 1 (100%)
The Liberals elected twice as many women as all other parties combined, you want us to believe 2 extra female ministers is bad and the CPC is a meritocracy that empowers women? 🙄
Mark Carney has—just like Trudeau—rejected the idea of having a merit based cabinet, and will be again, including DEI practices by making sure 50% of his ministers are women.
This reminded me of an incredibly powerful moment from @AnaPoilievre & @PierrePoilievre when I had the opportunity to chat about conservative women and common misconceptions.
Meritocracy yields results—and yes, there are a ton of incredible women across all parties… but who do you think the women will be on Mark Carney’s Liberal cabinet picks? Likely the same ministers who under Justin Trudeau, absolutely failed their portfolios and caused the mess we’re in.
As Ana says, Pierre surrounds himself with incredible women, not because of their gender… but because they are kick ass at what they do.
I'm reliably informed that while a carbon tax that costs under $1/bbl for almost every oil sands operation is enough to really tie the industry's hands, there is nothing besides the election of Trudeau and maybe Notley of relevance to the post-2015 investment decline...
So let me get this straight.
Jake Tapper is focused on attacking my Mom.
Jared and Ivanka are building a private island paradise on Albanian protected land.
Don Jr married the daughter of Epstein’s banker, and a startup his fund backs just got a record $620M Pentagon loan.
Eric is taking an Israeli drone company public for $1.5B in the middle of a war with Iran that nobody wanted.
And I know: “But what about your paintings, Hunter?”
Please.
@martycus Leger’s monthly polls have shown similar results since January, but they’ve also been the pollster showing the strongest LPC support since then.
The next closest pollster, Abacus, put the LPC at 47% and CPC at 34%.
Raise OAS eligibility to 67
Claw it back much, much sooner
Asset test it (including primary residence)
Use half the savings to boost GIS for actually low income seniors (maybe expand the eligibility)
Use the other half to reduce the deficit

Someone who I guess has never seen how much goes into Bixi or Bikeshare TO and thinks a bike that needs to hold up to rough treatment, all kinds of weather and other abuse is equivalent to a Canadian tire bike.
Whether we like him or not, Hoekstra is reflecting the sentiment of how Trump feels about Canada. Expelling him will only send a new henchman to tell us we should be the 51st state.
All we can do is ignore it, and give the US no legal recourse on CUSMA while negotiation happens
In the 70s, 7 workers supported each retiree. Today, it's 3. Young Canadians foot the bill.
OAS costs have almost doubled since 2015 & are headed to $175B/yr by 2045.
It's not sustainable. 🇨🇦 needs an honest conversation about #OASreform before we rack up a tab we can't pay.
