In 2 weeks’ time, 5 AFC members will be leaving San Carlos for the long hike to Port Stanley - the culmination of 18 months planning and perspiration. We would be grateful for any support. https://t.co/AhsfFyxCBx
A huge well done to this group of RAF veterans and @_AprilFoolsClub members who recently completed a 100 mile hike across the Falkland Islands! 🇫🇰🇬🇧
The group raised £17,000 for a brilliant cause in @RAFBF - a fantastic effort! 👏

Update from the Falklands Team:
Day 4 - adverse weather and high winds meant the hike was replanned to visit low level sites to the east of Stanley. Even that was challenging and a reminder of the conditions faced by those who fought far from home.

Today the weather is very bad which has prevented our RAF guides leaving the Mount Pleasant base so we are on our own and have replanned a hike out of Stanley to visit sites to the East.

Day 4 update from the Falklands Team:
Yesterday we were forced to change the plan due to the weather. We hiked from Stanley to Wireless Ridge, to Mount Longdon to Tumbledown. Although only around 12 miles the terrain is brutal in many places.
Day 1 update from our team in the Falklands:
Today’s route was 38 km from Blue Beach 2 to Goose Green taking approximately 9 hours, including 5 poignant remembrance events.
Blue Beach 2 was the landing beach for 2 Para in May 1982.
Thank you to everyone who continues to click, like and share the posts on social media to highlight this epic adventure and hopefully raise additional funds for RAFBF along the way.

The Team has arrived!
Fantastic to hear that the flight went to plan (not always a straightforward journey!) and they are in Port Stanley before the move to the start line on Thursday to raise money for @RAFBF#epicadventure#falklandislands#charityexpedition
Only 1 day to go before our 5 Fools take on an epic expedition across the Falkland Islands to raise money for @RAFBF so still time to share, donate and follow their adventure
On 5 February 2024, five members of the April Fools Club will be taking on a trek across the Falkland Islands to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund.
