Israel just sent a letter to the World Food Programme demanding it immediately stop collaborating with Turkey's state-linked IHH in Gaza.

Good. Here's the truth about IHH:

🔸️ IHH is an Erdoğan-backed "government-organized NGO." When Turkish investigators uncovered IHH smuggling arms to jihadists in Syria, Erdoğan personally shut down the probe and had the officers involved arrested.

🔸️ IHH's own Gaza program director was simultaneously serving as a commander in Palestinian Islamic Jihad's military wing when he was killed in an Israeli airstrike in May 2025 (admitted by PIJ itself).

🔸️ IHH is a member of the Union of Good — an umbrella network the U.S. Treasury designated in 2008 as a Hamas fundraising apparatus "created by the terror group's leadership."

🔸️ IHH's Gaza branch chief allegedly transferred cash directly from Turkey to Ismail Haniyeh. The funds were used to build a Hamas naval training facility and purchase weapons.

🔸️ Israel's Shin Bet found Hamas working with IHH specifically to access advanced satellite mapping software — to improve the accuracy of Hamas rockets.

🔸️ Germany banned IHH's Frankfurt branch in 2010 after finding it funneled an estimated €6.6 million to Hamas while marketing the transfers to donors as humanitarian work.

🔸️ IHH organized the 2010 Mavi Marmara flotilla. When Israeli commandos boarded, they were attacked by ~40 IHH operatives. No humanitarian supplies were found on the vessel.

🔸️ 87 U.S. senators called on Obama to designate IHH a foreign terrorist organization.

🔸️ IHH also has documented ties to al-Qaeda and armed jihadist factions in Syria.

Israel’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) demanded that the UN World Food Program stop cooperating with the Turkish humanitarian group IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation in Gaza, as Israel claims it's a "terrorist organization."

COGAT claims the WFP transferred fuel to IHH and warned that any support to the organization is illegal and could have serious consequences. Israel also claims the organization took part in organizing Gaza aid flotillas.

Happenned to me. Grateful I managed to recover it but it was a long process. I assume the person it was assigned to realised that it was reassigned after bombardment of random calls. So I waited for 6 months making sure it was inactive and asked safaricom for it back

A Kenyan by the name Elias Wekesa has taken Safaricom to court, and every Kenyan should pay attention.

He says Safaricom deactivated his line after it stayed inactive for a few months, then reassigned it to another person.

When he tried using it again, he was met with a shock.

The number was gone.

Worse, he says he could no longer receive OTPs from his bank and other platforms tied to that number.

This case matters because it touches every Kenyan.

Because your phone number is no longer just a number.

It is tied to your bank account.
Your email.
Your work accounts.
Your private life.

The moment that number is handed to someone else, the risks begin.
OTPs can go elsewhere.
Recovery codes can land in another person’s hands.

Account alerts can reach a stranger.

That person is not just holding a SIM card.
They may be holding access to parts of your digital life.

And if they have bad intentions, the damage can be immediate.

And for families who have lost loved ones, it cuts even deeper.

A parent’s number.
A sibling’s number.
A loved one’s number.

One day, it holds memories.

The next day, it belongs to a stranger.

This is why Safaricom must be forced to create stronger safeguards before reassigning numbers.
Because in today’s world, a phone number is not disposable.
It is identity.

And identity should never be reassigned without protection.

Three dead in a shooting outside the Israeli consulate in Istanbul. Three people have been killed and two police officers injured in a gunfire incident ⁠near the the Israeli consulate in the Turkish city of Istanbul, according to Turkey’s media reports.

Attackers have been identified. Turkish authorities said: “one had links to a group that exploits religion”, while another attacker had a prior drug-related record. Turkey called it a provocation. An interesting incident. It’s still unclear whether the attack was specifically targeting the Israeli consulate or something else. However, the key point is that the consulate had been vacated for quite some time. I don’t see why would anyone attack an empty consulate.
