No one said she was “uglified” because people understand that this is acting, playing a role, a character (real or fictional is irrelevant) with established traits and features.

She wasn’t written because “moviegoers like beauty”. She was written to accurately portray a character, as did many actors who played characters real or fictional that are older or less attractive than they are. Because that’s what acting is all about.

It doesn’t mean there’s an agenda against beauty. It means there’s room for different things to exist, and that art comes from the mind of the creator, not from consultation of markets and fans🎤

Even if you wanted to blame this on lighting why would use lighting that made your character look worse? Good lighting is pretty basic.

This only happens with western games.
You dont see chinese or korean devs making their characters worse with "lighting"

Here's comparisons of Deborah Ann Woll from the game vs her in Daredevil Born Again Season 2.

It's clearly a 1:1 scan and facial model, down to her moles and marks, only with typical real time rendering limitations and lighting differences. Keep in mind even CGI struggles with outright photo realism.

Her hairstyle and one tiny scar on her cheekbone are different, but the latter could've been a mark from an injury she had during the facial scan that she didn't during filming of Daredevil BA Season 2.

Again, she wasn't made more ugly, some of ya'll just have such limited exposure to real women, your worldview on female appearance and the impact of makeup, lighting, age etc, is utterly fucked. #GodOfWarLaufey
