@EmmettIzgubnik @callaway32 @SharpFootball Since I helped the other guy too I’ll point out that the rules for a fumble and backwards pass aren’t exactly the same. The NFL rule book differentiates between the two as fumbles are losses of possession that are NOT passes or kicks. The call in game was correct.

@finickus @TejasPato @B1Gfootball @oregonfootball That means the only way it wouldn’t be a catch is if his toe touched before he caught the ball, his toe then left the ground, and then he made the catch. That is clearly not what happened

You can see in this picture than his toe touches in bounds before he is out. So he both got a toe in bounds before being out, and gained possession before being out
