@KashmirInterest If you stop being a bigot for a while, and take the effort to read the entire (Henderson) document that you shared, you would see the plot. But, it really doesn't matter convincing you of anything.
Mirwaiz Yusuf Shah's speech on 15 Oct, 1931, wherein he asks his followers not to participate in anti-government rallies and prevent them from happening. Asks them to cleanse the pulpits from where speeches are made against the Dogra Maharaja.
@kabir_writes Is this 1983 allegation based on the "Red Book" published as anti-Sheikh propaganda by Pradesh Congress Committee led by Mufti Sayeed. Please do clarify.
Afaq Aziz's Tehreek-e-Siyasat is an important work on a crucial phase of history of Kashmir, 1931-1953, and records the journey of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, while providing the essential Kashmiri Muslim perspective which is missing in all other works.

I have come across a ghost figure in Kashmir's modern history, a character about whom very little is known. Is there anyone, or anyone who knows someone, who can guide me through the life of Pir Maqbool Gilani. May be, a snippet about his life, a book, diary, letter, anything.

Young doctors accusing patients, desperate attendants of jealousy is demeaning. You do 36-hour shift for your career's sake, not as charity. If you are distressed, mentally exhausted in final hours of shift, talk to your bosses at hospital, have guts to offend your seniors.
@HaseebDrabu@ShahAhsanIllahi He may have been a bakra, but Aga Shaukat Ali wasn't, so Buch's bakra identity isn't the common denominator. Any word on who had put him on the list? Could it be that SMA wanted them to be there, like he later did in case of Pir Maqbool Gilani.
@ShahAhsanIllahi There is a reference available online, an eulogy by Buch's nephew, Anwar. It confirms details of Kashmir Life story that Buch's name was on a list sent from across, and he was exchanged for prisoners.
@ShahAhsanIllahi@HaseebDrabu There are many crucial missing dots about these exile stories, for example Ch. Ghulam Abbas case. Sanaullah Bhat quotes Abbas, confirming that Abdullah sent him with a proposal for Jinnah, duly rejected by Jinnah. (Not the run of the mill exile for personal reasons plot).
@ShahAhsanIllahi Pata 13 of the Kashmir Life link that you shared has something else in between:
His name, along with that of... figured in the list that *came from across the Line of Control* and he was summarily packed off without consent.
What was this list about?
The British had stripped Pratap Singh in 1889, and then installed a governing council which ruled Jammu and Kashmir till 1905. It was this British-appointed governing council which introduced colleges, hospitals and other infrastructures in #Kashmir.
