@clay_garrett@gaborsjourney 1) It will improve security.
2) It will attract more customers who are willing to use Bitkey.
3) It could even increase Block’s revenue, since 1 customer may purchase 2 or more Bitkey hardware devices.
In short, it’s a win-win for everyone.
@clay_garrett@BEN0WHERE@max_guise Great!
Currently, you can only register 3 fingerprints on the hardware (you could have the owner + 2 beneficiaries). Could Bitkey increase the limit?
This would help mitigate the risk of both the owner and a beneficiary passing away. The more beneficiaries, the lower the risk.
1/3 @Bitkey has a serious flaw:
You can only designate 1 beneficiary for inheritance.
If both you and your beneficiary die at the same time, your entire Bitcoin wealth will be lost forever!
@clay_garrett@BEN0WHERE@max_guise Do you have an estimated release date for this feature?
It would be great to prioritize it, because, like me, many people may be hesitant to buy a Bitkey due to the risk of losing all their Bitcoin if both the owner and beneficiary pass away at the same time.
3/3 This way, Bitkey wouldn’t need to determine how the inheritance should be divided or deal with inheritance laws in each country.
It follows the same basic flow and solves the critical scenario where both the owner and beneficiary pass away at the same time.
@fernandofferre MELHOR: Leda Braga
@GUILHER93546927 @PedrooLula Acho incrível como a Vanguard/Blackrock ñ acordam p/ este segmento.
@GUILHER93546927 @PedrooLula Aham, verdade.
@GUILHER93546927 @PedrooLula 0,15%.
