@GuitarBluesMan@Kozik571@Snowden He often mentioned the importance of privacy in his posts on Bitcointalk for example.. like most of the OGs. Sad thing is the focus of the community shifted more on the side of adoption and price rather the privacy aspect, the cypherpunk ethos was strong in the early days
@TheStoicCoiner As McAfee once said, new tech is always adopted from criminals first, mob had the first phones, Bank robbers the first v8 cars, drones for suppling prisons or cross borders, BTC first and XMR now in DNMs... Tools used by criminals usually means that they're good tools..
@LittleD42075147@TheStoicCoiner Premined, solved the problem which big tech tries to solve (scaling homophobic encryption) solved the biggest problem in POW (51%resistant) but no info outside of the site or tracktion... Really hope you are right but for me all that sound like perfect altsaison cash grab project
@Pfiver@hyc_symas Fiat currency a success.. how??? And why do you refer companies which communicate as a proof? We could had stones as currency and their mechanism would be the same, it's information which is exchanged... Success is Value and buying power, healthy markets and good distribution
@Pfiver@hyc_symas Fiat...?Cornerstone of civilization? Disadvantages? Ok... Didn't realize you were trolling at the beginning... 8/10 for baiting me and make me respond 👍
@Pfiver@hyc_symas If something history has shown is that control of money always ends in corruption, to much power which sooner or later will corrupt, or do you know any Fiat currency ever to be successful?
@Pfiver@hyc_symas "money" as fiat then :
*no central control
*fixed inflation lower than that of gold
*no middlemen leeching of every transaction
*no discrimination of who can and can't use it
*Borderless txs 24/7
*privacy by default even with online transactions ... Would be a few differences
@hyc_symas wow ... Seems like a natural result of a community of which only incentive is to multiply their fiat currency through buying, holding and selling... No factual argument, almost a cult like behavior defending aggressive their bags closing their eyes to any possible improvement
