@EricaJoy End of life discussions can be tricky. My father disliked contemplating his own mortality and routinely shut down conversations. "IDK bury me in a pine box" was most he said. Mom thought discussing death was sacrilegious. For her, talking to a minister to OK it was a big help.

@senatorshoshana I agree. I don't celebrate Christmas, but when someone wishes me a merry Christmas I start by accepting it in the cordial spirit in which it's usually intended. No need to take offense unless someone argues with me why I don't celebrate.

@tedlieu @POTUS I am no war-hawk but I'm uneasy about the #SyriaWithdrawal because it seems impulsive and come amid a complete lack of coherent strategy for months if not years. Part of that, of course, has been Congress shirking its Constitutional role in war.
