Harris holiday dinner party: 2024 edition. Merry Christmas from the best group of environmental economists I know (even though we were missing a few this year). @GATechEcon
I actually think college campuses should host political events--we should be bastions of free speech and provide forums for intellectual debate--I just don't think we should be ok with such events so severely interfering with normal campus functions like teaching a class.
First the debate interrupts campus access, and now we have a Trump rally closing nearly all of our parking and forcing us to move classes online. Really wish we'd prioritize our education and research mission.
A reminder to our campus community — a major political event will take place on campus this afternoon at McCamish Pavilion. Large crowds, heavy traffic, and road closures are expected. | https://t.co/4FdZYIqe2j
The amendment would essentially impose an assessment limit, preventing assessments from rising by any more than the rate of inflation. Ugh. https://t.co/SmQw3caqVB
Is Georgia really trying to pass a constitutional amendment akin to California's prop 13? Have we not learned from CA what a disaster this is? Am I misunderstanding the first proposed constitutional amendment on this year's ballot?
