I was sitting on the side of the road in the pitch black just outside of Council Grove, Kansas. I had hundreds of fireflies flying around the surface just after each lightning strike. It was the coolest thing to see. It really depended on how strong the bolt was and how long the fireflies would actually stay down. The outflow winds on Thursdays storms were rocking! I found a pullout off I-84 between Sunnyside and Toppenish where I set up the @_BoltHunter. It’s probably my favorite lighting bolt of the chase. #wawx #pnw #nature
