Wrack-land
Willows wane, apiece in pain, writhing, oh so low.
Nettles heap, in meadows deep, so none else there may grow.
Wild flowers, on hill-top towers, from seeds so sadly sown.
Together all, tower tall, yet feel all alone.
Primrose droop, roses stoop, daisies bow their head.
Alow in woe, void of glow, led by dread instead.
Woebegone, are privets on, scrublands woe betide.
So turmoil, saddens the soil, aching it inside.
The Nightingale, like the Quail, all now all but sing.
Sparrow song, has long since gone, so too the joy they bring.
Blackbirds reel, Magpies squeal, red Robins despond.
Starlings sour, Cuckoo's cower, Cormorant correspond.
The solo swan, lingers on, sick with solitude.
Faraway, in disarray, solemnly subdued.
Foxes cry, Rabbits sigh, Geese have gone in gloom.
Roe deer hide, far n' wide, but still run out of room.
The Butterfly, shuns the sky, ladybirds lament.
The Bumblebee, is currently, twisted in torment.
Rivers rue, streams stew, lakes n' ponds regret.
Bayou scorn, estuaries mourn, hoping to forget.
Trees that speak, crook n' creek, sunk in rank and file.
They suffer in, hurt within, and will do for a while.
Yew n' oak, have often spoke, with the ash n' pine.
Birch n' beech, engage in speech, discussing their decline.
As too concur, the conifer, as to their ordeal,
Hazel wine, Lime's chime, in the hope they'll heal.
The very air, is in despair, cloudy's the crimson sky.
Day itself, has hindered health, as if waiting to die.
Only night, offers respite, every now n' then.
Hitherto, the morning dew, wherein it starts again.
Winds of doubt, wail throughout, forlorn n' in force.
A silent wraith, that feeds on faith, to stop it at its source.

#Resurrectionists - Grave Diggers of the Medical Industry ๐ฉธโ ๏ธ #GreyfriarsKirkyard#Edinburgh#Scotland
This is a special feature covering a dark, sinister topic that occurred during the medical industries early surgical breakthroughs. Pubs from #Edinburgh to #London would be an incredibly dangerous place to show signs of illness or to discuss a family death. The murders of #BurkeAndHare exposed a sickening trade that was promoted by a morally corrupt medical industry. Join me in one of Scotland's beautiful kirkyards to discuss an embarrassing, disturbing secret of Britain's academic and criminal past. ๐ฉป

The John Snow public house on 39 Broadwick Street in London's Soho is named after a man whom we all owe a great deal. Without Dr. Snow, the wealth and health of Britain would have taken far longer to achieve, if at all. Today, unimportant celebrities dominate the very stage that many Great Britons should instead take. Due to an uneducative ciriculm, children and adults alike have little idea how we came to the medical advancements we've arrived at today, nor who was responsible. We will never know how many lives he saved, but the least we can do is acknowledge his findings. Join us as we explain why this charming, handsome pub is named what it is and why we hold Dr Snow in such high regard. ๐ป๐ค

Myself and @PubMaverik at my favourite public house in #Manchester, the gorgeous Peveril Of The Peak. This historic relic served the working people of industrial Manchester just as it does various walks of life today. I always feel a huge sense of contentment when I arrive in #Manchester and begin my journey through the north in such a heartwarming pub. Our pubs are treasures which are becoming more and more rare. Love them while you can and be in no doubt that it's thanks to Britain's lost and living pubs that the people of these glorious Isles formed the bonds, strength, and humour we're known for across the world. This pub was built around 1820 and remodelled in 1900 through a Arts and Crafts-influenced scheme which is why it has hand-painted tiles, stained glass, and intricate woodworking, providing a homely, wholesome, and comforting ora that contrasts with the modernity that surrounds it. If you're in Manchester, don't go to the ugly bars and newbuilds but instead venture into its glorious pubs to give them service and to experience the very buildings that served those who came before us. People will travel miles just to visit a hypermodernised museum when they miss the living museums sitting right in front of them. Thank you to everyone who watches our series at @Britains___Pubs. We've much work to do. ๐ค

The beautifully preserved 'City of York' has many wonders to observe. Among them is a well kept riverside pub named the 'King's Arms' which isn't only famous for flooding, but has an abundance of history to its name. We enjoy a quiet drink beside the river as we discuss the pub and its importance to the historic city of York. ๐ป๐ค

The Suffering Pub Scene Of Woolwich
Southeast #London, #England#Woolich, like most parts of London's once thriving and famous #Docklands, has become yet another pub graveyard. We take a short trip through the area to highlight its current climate and the visible death of what was once a bustling social life within South London. There's no denying that the loss of #Britain's pubs is a clear sign of its decline. There's far too much to say, so I shall let the video speak for itself. At the end of this video is a short montage of some other properties to have died in the past few decades. If you enjoy, or connect with this video, give it a share to help others who may have similar interests to find our work. Thank you for watching, and all of your support. ๐ค

On the day a child is born, a tree should be planted in which they check on their whole life. This would not only be a lifelong lesson in nature and patience, but incredibly moving experience. A living being that's exactly the same age as you would represent your beginning and your end and would allow one to live on in the hearts of those who missed you. ๐ณ
The Hypermodernized, Abandoned Ghost Town of Royal Albert Dock - East #London
Walk with us through an eerie ghost town where nothing moves over than the wind. You can hear a pin drop despite being within an overpopulated London. This location is one of the greatest examples of the icy, baron, lonely nature of hypermodernity. I'm glad the dockers, lightermen, sailors and many others can not see what has become of what was a bustling, noisy, and productive environment.

The Gallions Hotel and Albert Dock - Basin Approach, #London, #E16 โ๏ธ
Join us as we visit what were the largest docks in the world in order to discuss one of its few remaining buildings of historical worth. #Britian and her empire depended on the very shipping that was being carried out within east London's #Docklands. Not only were the greatest minds involved in their construction and maintenance, but so too were a great many of our ancestors who worked the docks or sailed the ships. This pub/hotel still sits in one of the many important locations within the expansive Docklands that once spread from the end of East London all the way to the riverbanks of the city. The places that was once incredibly busy, and noisy, are now, chillingly, as quiet as a mouse. If you enjoy this video, or any of our others, give us a follow and our content a share in order to help others find our work. Thank you ๐ค

The Roman and Medieval Wall Behind The Eagle Tavern
- 124 High St, #Rochester, #Kent, #ME1 ๐ป
There are abundant traces of British and European history within the tiny town of Rochester. One could spend days in this small space and still miss so much. For me, the quirky yet magnificent features behind pleasant pubs such as the Eagle Tavern are what set Britain's public houses apart from the rest of the world. Several pubs within the town give you views of the types of relics studied by academics and tourists alike. If you're in the right place, you really can experience what it's like to interact with a living museum. Follow us on our journey into the life and death of Britain's lost and living pubs.

We shall post a few artefacts we've photographed in the British Museum related to Roman and pre Roman Britain. This artefact may be from several tribes. It may have been the Cantii (Cantiaci), Regnenses, or the Catuvellauni who dominated the south-east before the Romans took hold. The #Waterloo Helmet/Waterloo Bridge Helmet was found in the River Thames (1868) by #WaterlooBridge, #London. Another amazing pre-Roman #Celtic relic. This bronze ceremonial horned helmet dates back to 150โ50 BC.
๐ธ @VinnieSull1van
The primary pre-Roman Celtic tribe associated with Somerset was the #Durotriges. This amazing Celtic piece is said to be dated 250-75BC and is named the Cleveton Gold Tore. It was found in #Cleveton, #Somerset, during the 19th century. Its incredible detail destroys the myth of Britain being backwards before the #Roman invasions. How many people could make this today? It's obvious that we have fare more to learn from the past than we acknowledge. Many sources would describe pre-Roman and pre-Christian Britian as a dark uncultured place. But quite obviously, they're wrong.

The Kings Arms (Bonces) And The Preserved Lambeth Estate - 25 Roupell Street, London SE1 โณ๐ป
Venture with us into a beautifully preserved Estate in #Lambeth in #London to explore the Kings Arms (Otherwise known as Bonces) and the surrounding streets (#RoupellStreet, #WhittleseyStreet, and #TheedStreet) that do incredible justice to a city that has rushed so willingly into modernity. We hope that you'll also observe the video's montage at the end of the film to fully absorb the awe inspiring surroundings of Georgian / Victorian England. This region, like most in London, has it's own fascinating history and culture. The proud people of south London worked together and, despite loving home, would sometimes hide the fact they came from #Waterloo because of the areas reputation for prostitution and other vices. This pub would have served a great many of the residents who lived, feared, loved, and died on these very streets. For us to properly cover all that's gone on here would require a series of itself. In the short lives we have, all we can do is our best to save what memories and lessons we can in order to pass them down to future generations. Thank you to everyone who follows, likes, and shares our work. It not only means the world to us, but encourages us to create new projects. ๐ค
