I started this technical analysis journey two Sundays ago and planned to share my lessons here for discipline, accountability, and consistency. I haven’t been as consistent as I hoped, and I also didn’t post the things I’ve been learning and practicing.

Day 2 — Deep Dive into Market Structure 📚📈

Today, I learnt about two important concepts: Break of Structure (BOS) and Change of Character (CHoCH).

🔹 BOS happens when price creates:
• A new high above the previous high in an uptrend, or
• A new low below the previous low...

So far, I’m gaining more clarity and correcting a lot of misunderstandings I previously had about Technical Analysis—especially when viewing charts here on X.

Day 3 & 4 – Learning Order Blocks (OB)

Order Blocks are the last opposite candle before a strong impulsive move that breaks market structure — meaning the final bullish or bearish candle before price shifts aggressively and creates a BOS.

✓ A bearish OB acts as a supply zone for possible sell entries.
✓ A Break of Structure (BOS) must occur before confirming a valid OB.

Types of Order Blocks:
🔹 Mitigated OB: Price has returned to tap the zone.
🔹 Unmitigated OB: Price has not yet returned to the zone.

We have two types:
🔹 Bullish OB: Last bearish candle before an impulsive move upward.
🔹 Bearish OB: Last bullish candle before an impulsive move downward.

Key points:
✓ A bullish OB acts as a demand zone for possible buy entries.

...or vice versa.
It’s not a strategy, but a concept that helps you understand market transitions.

Another key lesson: every expansion will always be followed by a retracement for efficient price delivery.

We also have major and minor BOS:
• In an uptrend, the expansion move usually creates the major BOS, while retracements and internal movements form the minor/internal BOS.

🔹 CHoCH marks the point where market direction shifts — from uptrend to downtrend...

Then I moved into Price Expansion vs Price Retracement:

🔹 Price Expansion: Those strong, impulsive moves that push price in a direction 🚀
🔹 Price Retracement: The small pullbacks or corrections before the market continues again 🔄

Kicked off Day 1 of my learning journey, and wow… market structure is starting to make sense! 😅📈
