Another sad piece of Council arts funding news, this time for my local town. The arts has huge value to society and we'll see the impact of these proposed cuts for years to come.

Perfectly summed up by @Owencl: "...ceasing to invest in arts and culture is short-term thinking."

Suffolk County Council is proposing to stop core funding, of £500,000, to arts and museum sector organisations from April 2025 as part of £64.7m budget cuts. Had a wonderful time at the @HandleBards show yesterday outdoors at @MagliaRosso 🚲 – it was hilarious and incredibly unique, with a really strong cast. They're early into their tour of A Midsummer Night's Dream so get tickets near you if you can! 🎭
