@SamaHoole If you’re on the fence about starting a statin, you could get a calcium score scan to see plaque buildup. There’s also the ASCVD score that predicts your 10 year risk of things like heart attack or stroke.

Wednesday, I told my patient she was pregnant at her regular check up (unexpected surprise). Two days later, I did her dating ultrasound. She’s scheduled to see me for the rest of her PNC. I’m so excited! ✨

Today I learned that sometimes hepatocellular carcinoma can be diagnosed on imaging alone. If the patient has cirrhosis, chronic hep B or prior HCC an LI-RADS score of 5 is diagnostic! LI-RADS 4 requires biopsy and LI-RADS 3 or less is likely benign and can be monitored.
