@PlainSpokenPod Both Calvin and Luther referenced "minor discrepancies" but didn't view it as a threat to scriptural authority. Personally, I have come to an inerrantist view, but it isn't necessary to my faith. And it's an unnecessary bar for scriptural reverence and obedience.
@PlainSpokenPod Inerrancy is used as a litmus test. But it's still possible to hold a high view of scripture, to have an exegetic approach to interpretation and application, and yet not view it necessary to vouch for the factual accuracy of every verse by every author in every book of the Bible.
@PlainSpokenPod If you profess belief in something. you attesting to the truth a claim. In the case of the doctrine of inerrancy, you are saying that all of the scriptures by all of the authors are completely free from factual or historical error, but just in the books that are in the Bible.
@PlainSpokenPod It is intellectually dishonest to say that you believe something because you don't like the consequences that come with not holding to that belief. And it's even worse to judge whether someone can even be Christian because they refuse to fully profess that doctrine.
@DanWolken Scheduling disparity existed with divisions and permanent rivals but even with that, taking the top two teams from a 16 team league creates a significantly more difficult matchup than playing a weaker division winner.
@BenjaminSWatson I'm conservative, and this is vile blasphemy. Mr. President, humble yourself before the Lord and never allow your persecution to be compared to His. Rid yourself of this woman's spiritual guidance, which will lead you straight to Hell.
@Jesus_Tha_Goat It didn't matter what Alabama's starting field position was. They only had 4 first downs in 3 quarters of play. Half of their only scoring drive came via Georgia penalties. -3 yards rushing
@GrahamCoffeyDC 2023 was a weird year. Michigan and Washington were undefeated conference champions. Alabama was a one loss conference champion who beat Georgia. And Texas was a one-loss conference champion who beat Alabama. Which of those 4 should they have put us ahead of?
@CFBNerds Let's replace conference championship games with play-in games. Top 5 teams nationally get a bye. G5 gets one for all of them. ACC and Big 12 get 1 game each. The B1G and SEC get 2 each.
