2. Cropped Trousers

A little bit more adventurous than a full-length pair, cropped trousers can come in many silhouettes. Some are made with full-hips that taper towards the hem, others are slim but looser from the knee down, or even just wide all the way down, amongst many other cuts. The minor length difference between a full length and a cropped length opens up the possibilities of new silhouettes to play with.

Pros:
- Good for showing off boots
- Fits different heights and body types
- When done well, trousers start looking purposefully architectural rather than simply a garment to avoid nakedness

Cons:
- The wrong lengths may invite comments about floods
- Finding the right length and silhouette takes a bit of trial and error, as well as a tacit understanding of one’s body shape

Pitfall:
- Never go too tight and too short, or they risk looking like capris, which were trendy in the late 90s.
