So, I passed by a branch of the fuel station where I worked from 2017 to 2020, and I just couldn’t help but thank God.
I honestly wonder how I would have pulled my siblings and myself through that season of our lives if I hadn’t had a job that exposed me to tips, as well as customers who patronised my little business of selling liquid soaps, sanitizers, air fresheners, toilet wash, bleach and perfumes.
I learned to make and sell all those things because I needed extra money to handle the bigger bills.
Damnnnn, my strength scares me sometimes. I pray God places me in systems where that strength will be polished, refined and yield even better results.
I’m definitely my mother’s daughter. Okurrrrr! 😅
I was carrying some deadass weight while watching my mates and friends being taken care of by their parents, and I just knew my siblings must never be counted out. It was a matter of “over my dead body.”
Looking back now, I realise I was doing so much with so little.
I fought a good fight shaaaa. 🥹
Hey you, remember when you started that job/business because you wanted financial stability? 😭
Now look at you… look at how mentally unstable you’ve become. 🥹😂
Every time I make a prayer of request and end it with, “But Father, let your will be done,” I know somehow that I’m either going to make myself cry hot tears or receive something far better than the iceberg I was asking for.
In it all, let his will be done.
If anything, being so invested in men that your choices, attention, validation, livelihood and even your battles revolve around them is far closer to what the word “male-centered” describes, not a woman who has her own life, works hard for herself, chooses one man to be with, and still has enough conviction to call out behaviour she finds morally wrong.
Not every woman who disagrees with you is male-centered. Sometimes, she simply has standards that you don’t share.
Not to excuse a cheating man, but you see, women can be the vilest of God’s creatures.
You know a man is actively in a relationship, yet you consciously choose to frolic with him. Now that he has gotten his “ideal woman” engaged, you bunch of “women supporting women” and “feminist” my-ass individuals waited until the eve of his wedding, not to call him out, but to troll the innocent woman who has done nothing but love and expect the same commitment from her spouse, simply because you’re bitter that he didn’t choose you?
Fear women. 😒
Watching these two young adults go through a breakup after having a child together has honestly made me question what love meant to them in the first place.
My heart is genuinely broken for them. I’ve found myself imagining what it must feel like to be in the lady’s position. Yes, there are probably things she could have fixed, but watching myself separate from someone I once called mine? Mehnnn… I know I will die from my heart being physically broken.
And from the young man’s side too, I feel like he could have handled certain things differently because he is also hurting from the split.
One thing this has made me realize is that I really, really don’t want my children to experience a broken home. I want to be intentional about choosing a good man and, in the same way, becoming a good woman to him. Not because marriage will always be perfect, but because I want us to have the kind of love that makes us willing to fight for our home, communicate, forgive, grow and choose each other again and again.
I know people say love fades, but I genuinely believe agape love is different. It isn’t based solely on feelings or convenience. It is the kind of love that chooses patience, sacrifice, forgiveness and commitment.
The kind of love Christ has for the Church.
And honestly, that’s the kind of love I pray I build my home on.
Witchcraft is simply telling a child who is excited about how bright their future will be, “No worry, life go humble you.”
No be until you suck person blood be witchcraft.
A woman has just given birth.
Everybody is happy. Then suddenly, she starts bleeding.
This is postpartum haemorrhage, and when it happens, no one has time to ask where the drug, tranexamic acid or TXA is.
That drug, Tranexamic acid can help reduce deaths from bleeding when it is given early after PPH starts.
So if a facility is providing emergency obstetric care, TXA should not be something they start looking for when the emergency has started.
It should be there.
As a man, if your wife is preparing to give birth, ask if the facility has TXA available. Same thing if you’re pregnant and preparing for delivery.
Ask questions. Know what is available.
Prepare before the emergency comes.
RT so that expectant mothers and fathers can see this very important message.
