If you had told me back in 2024/2025 that there would be a social media post asking who the best driver is out of Lando, George and Charles & all the top comments say Lando - I would not have believed you.
I always believed it myself but there was such a strong online hate campaign against him I never thought I would see the light at the end of the tunnel.
🚨 Cristiano Ronaldo: “I will wake up tomorrow with same mood as I did today. I did my best”.
“I won three titles with Portugal, before me it was ZERO titles. I can only be happy”.
@Flameysaurus This isn’t about money. It’s about playing for your country. Just like any other sport. The idea of playing for your country beats any other feeling. This tournament isn’t about money.
One thing I always said about Russell is that he'd rather be P17 and Lewis be P18, than be P5 but Lewis P4. He didn't care about the result, just beating Lewis
Leclerc is apparently the same - He's been on the radio, blocked him, fucked both of their races... Sigh
@SulloReport@Giorgieo915 Can’t really compare Audi and McLaren one has historic relevance in F1 one had historic racing DNA which obviously clashes as Zac is extending McLaren to other racing series
It's interesting if you look at the contrast of the comments that both Max Verstappen and Lando Norris have made about these cars because they do show where they are in terms of their careers.
Max:
Just as he says himself, he's achieved what he wanted to in F1, there's not much more left for him to specifically reach. He's climbed that mountain and proved himself already
He's in F1 because he loves the sport and would want the sport to go in a certain direction
Lando:
Unlike Max, Lando hasn't done achieved all he needed to in F1, so he's more malleable and willing to change. He feels the sport's philosophy and cars change from time to time and he's willing to evolve with what is on offer.
neither of them are wrong.
There's also this surprising similarity to what happened in 2014 when Sebastian Vettel (already a 4x champion at the time) was not happy with the direction of the sport. He had been complaining about it since 2013.
But then he had already achieved alot.
Lewis Hamilton on the other hand was a one-time champion at the time and was more than willing to see what the new era brought.
At the end of the day, these comments are a reflection of where these drivers are in their careers and what they want next
The proper response to driver interviews is that Max is probably right that not going flat out and the way these cars deliver power are not in the spirit of what F1 was built on
And at the same time, Lando is right that he can still enjoy it, and that things will improve and get faster. And that this is that their “job” is
But youll only find kardashian level mindset from most fans here
