I'm not sure of the % of population that took part but I think it was significant. I was an eastern European country, maybe so.eone else can confirm.

@Humanspective @RennickGBR Wasn't the Spanish Flu prior to Florey's discovery of penicillin/antibiotics? Spanish Flu was 1918-1920. Florey,Chain & Norman didn't develop penicillin antibiotics until world war 2. They would have helped had they been developed.
