@DUSKdev It's really funny to me because I spent 10 years working as a chef and, let me tell you, chefs use pre-made stuff literally all the time. In a kitchen environment you simply can not waste time on things that don't absolutely need your time.
@orthonmyworm@mathemaniacyt I mean, the thing is that it's actually much less complicated when it comes to mapping something on to a torus because it's essentially the same as flat tiling. But, a sphere's curved surface is a mess to map things on to.
@CodeRed_dev I'm not a fan of the * and - being next to each other like that and feel like it should be "1 * (-1) =", but you're still going to get -1 either way.
Starting to make art for the game before I've done much designing/coding.
It's because I have kind of a vibe driven design, and I want want to have the vibe down first.
@Trunkit_@RobinPoedev The filled square world design is the result of the way the NES & SNES stored level information in memory. Not really a deliberate design choice (even though, like all good game designers, they were able to make it look like it was a deliberate design choice).
@TylerGlaiel If people are going to be speed-running the game and using that as the official timer, I'd even go as far as adding hundredths of a second.
