I do believe that there is no real alternative yet at this point. I used Starlink both on Emirates and Qatar and its mindblowing fast and stable. While i do not see in building calling capabilites on the horizon yet (duew to line of sight requirements - or a massive leap in antenna technology) the path forward is obvious. This will shake up TelCo markets especially in rural areas and incumbent dominated markets. Pure politics at play trying to prevent that from happening.
