@AndrewScheer How is no one held to account for this as Canadians struggle to survive? If I, as a frontline worker, were to make the slightest error there are formal complaint processes; yet, the government gets away without even a caution. No wonder trust in public office is at an all time ⬇️

@KMFollett Thank you so much @KMFollett... your epic stories have been so meaningful in my life, especial EYE OF THE NEEDLE, which I read yearly and really helped me through a challenging time in my life. There is nothing more liberating than a great yarn.

St. Catharines resident Paul Battaglia and his wife Katie Beaton delivered 800 #SmileCookies for frontline staff at Niagara Health Friday. Paul, a cancer survivor, bought cookies from @TimHortons in Fonthill, where proceeds from the sale are being donated to @WellspringNIA.
Good call @theresecoffey to side with patients in light of public satisfaction surveys. Also good news that pharmacies allowed to do more: they should become the front door of the NHS. However, all of these promises are pie in the sky without a workforce plan, especially for GPs.
Our Emergency Department (ED) is under extreme pressure. We are facing staffing shortages, while also experiencing a high volume of patients needing care.
At times, we do not have enough staff to service all areas of the ED. This is resulting in longer than usual wait times.
Our new global report, ‘Quality in Retreat’, makes a simple argument: the only way to reverse the retreat from quality is to march steadfastly towards it.
Grim figures reveal the scale of healthcare decline worldwide @BeamtreeCo https://t.co/T9LV294R71
I could weep. The last major national workforce strategy was launched 20 years ago, back in 2002 and every health policy published since then has singularly and wilfully failed to focus on workforce. Staggering incompetence in the face of a global crisis. https://t.co/MDQBzsIGuw
Thrilled to be back in the #Bahamas after a 3 year hiatus. While we have continued to work virtually on universal healthcare, nothing really compares to the natural beauty of the islands and warmth of the people. The government has done a good job steadfastly progressing #UHC.
Great to be back in #Canada working with #NovaScotia Health Authority to improve access to care for the 1 million citizens who live in the Province. Nearly half the population reside in #Halifax but it’s geography is such that 8.3% of people do not have access to a registered GP.
