Over the weekend, Republican Steve Schmidt, who ran John McCain's 2008 campaign for president, was interviewed on MSNBC.
In response to a very general question regarding the Trump Presidency, Mr. Schmidt spoke for two solid minutes and gave the most insightful and brutally honest response of what the Trump Presidency has done to our great country.
“Donald Trump has been the worst president this country has ever had. And, I don't say that hyperbolically. He is. But he is a consequential president. And, he has brought this country in three short years to a place of weakness that is simply unimaginable if you were pondering where we are today from the day where Barack Obama left office. And, there were a lot of us on that day who were deeply skeptical and very worried about what a Trump presidency would be. But this is a moment of unparalleled national humiliation, of weakness.”
"When you listen to the President, these are the musings of an imbecile. An idiot. And I don't use those words to name call. I use them because they are the precise words of the English language to describe his behavior. His comportment. His actions. We've never seen a level of incompetence, a level of ineptitude so staggering on a daily basis by anybody in the history of the country whose ever been charged with substantial responsibilities.”
"It's just astonishing that this man is president of the United States. The man, the con man, from New York City. Many bankruptcies, failed businesses, a reality show, that branded him as something that he never was. A successful businessman. Well, he's the President of the United States now, and the man who said he would make the country great again. And he's brought death, suffering, and economic collapse on truly an epic scale."
"And, let's be clear. This isn't happening in every country around the world. This place. Our place. Our home. Our country. The United States. We are the epicenter. We are the place where you're the most likely to die from this disease. We're the ones with the most shattered economy. And we are, because of the fool that sits in the Oval Office behind the Resolute Desk.

@votevets It may well be too late. Congress is filled with Trump's enablers. The only solution to "corral this whole administration" quite likely is for JSOC to do so kinetically.
It may be the only solution to end the Trump crime spree and restore our democratic constitutional republic.
Major Gen. Paul Eaton spent over 30 years in uniform. His current read on the Iran war is simple: Hegseth has fired every general and admiral who would have pushed back against him. With no one left to stop this disaster, Hegseth owns all of it.
The name "Ontario" isn't a Canadian name, it's Native American. Ontario is an indigenous Iroquoian or Huron (Wyandot) word meaning "great lake," or kanadario (from skanadario), meaning "beautiful water" or "sparkling water"
This is how fucking stupid Trump is. Once again, the USA shits on their indigenous population.
Chapman's Ice Cream has just done something EVERY Canadian should know.
The largest ice cream company in Canada used to source fruit and nuts from American suppliers — for some, for over 30 years. Then, Trump imposed a 25% tariff on Canadian products.
So, what did Chapman's do?
📷 They called Italy.
📷 They called Spain.
📷 They signed multi-year contracts with European suppliers.
And the vice president said it perfectly:
"Even if Trump wakes up smarter than yesterday, we're about to sign long-term deals with other countries — and the American companies that supply them will have nothing but their eyes to cry for."
Oh, and on top of ALL that? They're COLDing their prices so that the average Canadian doesn't have to spend a single cent more.
It's a family business. No shareholders. Just the Chapman family saying: "The least we can do is make sure Canadians still have the means to buy ice cream."
That's what Canadian pride looks like.
Next time you're at the grocery store — grab some Chapman's.
Every scoop of ice cream is a vote for Canada.
@randallwcarlson The footage out of Nepal shows just a miniscule taste of what this must have been. Sadly, there were far more people living in the path of it.

@jimstewartson Because humanity is clearly too stupid to keep psychopaths from rising to power.
This should be Civilization 101 but here we are, perpetually letting them fuck the rest of us over in pursuit their self serving whims.
@octopuscaveman The only reason I can think of is fear of getting shit on his clothes. So it must be spraying everywhere like a sheetrock texture gun. He spackles the porta pooper then takes a baby wipe bath. 🤭
COACH SULLY: “I was a Republican longer than I’ve been a Democrat — today I want to show you why I changed… Republicans have been terrible on jobs, weak on the market, racked up debt, and in office for every recession… that’s why they change the subject.”
The murder of Alex Pretti was covered by the media. Most ICE killings aren’t covered at all.
We’re now over FIFTY people dead while in ICE custody. ICE/Trump/Tom Homan continue to attack & kill innocent Americans with impunity.
Trump. Couldn’t. Care. Less
@EelZebra@essenviews@BrookeLRollins Whodathunk it. It appears someone public service still gives a shit. It certainly isn't Brooke the Crook.
