@Glowey2022@ryangerritsen Third world country people have no concept of social distancing. They’re used to piling onto each other to get ahead instead of forming a queue. They see no problem breathing down your neck rubbing sweat on you. It’s just normal that they make physical contact in public spaces :/
@reenaasd@jules4u11@ryangerritsen It’s about change. People would be crying bloody murder if in a few short years major cities in India or some predominantly black African country suddenly got filled with white people. Not to mention in the case of Canada, the “new people” objectively lack manners comparatively.
@davidwalte70189@JonathanBahai@ryangerritsen Lol this sounds so bad but I honestly cannot deny it. No manners, I see store shelves left in a mess way too often now. I can’t say for certain what kind of people are doing this, but it wasn’t like this 10 years ago.
@clynn222@Mockingbirddd1@WallStreetMav I mean, yeah our military is a joke in comparison, but that doesn’t invalidate the point I’m making. No military can do what you are dreaming of. The US military is strong and may be the strongest on the planet, but to think it’s omnipotent is pure hubris.
@David30808769@marv2damax@realshawnngee@WallStreetMav So you’re saying if you can take something and they can’t stop you, then it’s yours, then is it correct that Ukraine is Russia’s because Russia could take it had it not received help from outside?
@jacob_w_palmer@WallStreetMav Honestly, if you’re a big country controlling smaller countries at your will, giving them valuable infrastructure and controlling them through debts is more respectable than threatening them with destruction. Still evil, but less so.
@clynn222@Mockingbirddd1@WallStreetMav You think the military can perfectly defend against those guerrilla tactics? Even if you line the canal with American soldiers on both sides, something’s bound to slip through the cracks here and there. Besides, running that kind of defence also incurs enormous costs.
@kyle98033647@YRP@Polysesouvient Solve? That word does not go together with poly. Did they ever try to “solve” anything? It’s been abundantly clear that they’re not interested in solving public safety issues, but pushing their agenda fuelled by personal hatred.
@halps75 @mr_strat @OPP_HSD I’ve seen this 180 number tossed around quite a bit, but why? That seems arbitrary and dangerously high. Why not 120, the highest speed limit in Canada? Or at most 140, since the highest speed limit in the entirety of North America is 137km/h.
@dubsndoo A dumb politician is not as dangerous as a smart one with ulterior motives. I highly doubt Freeland is dumb, and I have no idea where you drew that conclusion from.
@JustxGeo@larrymondello63@mhtlawrence@PeelPolice Are you aware that this is the immediate summary penalty without due process, and this alone already costs a lot financially due to the impound, and there are more penalties that follow once the the driver goes through trial and is convicted?
@msinghyyz @PeelPolice You call this a slap on the wrist? What’s the penalty for being on your phone while driving? Does that come with immediate summary penalties before penalties following a conviction?
@out2late @PeelPolice For speeding? Only if the penalties are that severe for DUI and distracted driving, including playing on your phone while driving.
@traderany22 @PeelPolice I’ve always been very critical of the speed laws and enforcement as they’re touted as safety measures rather than revenue machines, but what you just said here is the most absurd thing I’ve heard, far more absurd than the stunt driving law that includes speeding.
