🚨 Rio Ferdinand on Manchester United set to BACK OUT of the Ederson Santos deal and pivot to Carlos Baleba 👀
🗣️ "I think Manchester United will weigh up their options now. Andrey Santos and Ederson have a very similar playstyle. Given the medical delays, you have to wonder what's going on. We all know a standard medical doesn't take months to complete.
With Santos coming in, I bet there is only a 30% chance the Ederson deal actually goes through. Baleba will likely be the next target on the radar expect something from the board next week. If you ask me, since Santos is already signed and shares a similar profile to Ederson, the Ederson deal should be off so Baleba can be brought in next."
Between Ederson and Carlos Baleba, who do you want at Manchester United?
If Christopher Vivell manages to sign Aurelien Tchouameni this summer alongside Mateus Fernandes & Ederson, that is a midfield rebuild equal to the attacking signings of 2025.
What he has done for Manchester United's recruitment has been transformative & will be long lasting.
I’m so confused…
Gordon plays LW, Rashford plays LW. Gordon goes for £80m. Rashford goes for £30m. Both are basically Raphinha replacements. Why not go for Rashford, save up and strengthen the main issues in the team by getting a striker and defender?
No issues with Ederson coming to Man Utd as long as the club don't see him as a marque midfield signing.
Elite midfielder + Mateus Fernandes + Ederson would be fine.
Ederson is an upgrade on Ugarte, he's just not in the same bracket as Tonali/ Anderson who have been linked to City/ Arsenal so would be underwhelming if the club see him as the Casemiro replacement (which I doubt they do).
One of Tonali/ Anderson/ Tchouameni + Mateus + Ederson is a good summer.
No one can truly imagine what Anthony Joshua is going through, losing two of your closest friends in a single day, simply as a result of honoring you by accompanying you to your hometown. That is an unimaginable pain. I wish him the strength to bear this profound loss and a speedy recovery.
I think AJ deserves to be remembered more fondly than Fury when their careers are done. No fake retirements or failed drugs tests or stinking the place out against UFC fighters. Just a KO artist that carried British boxing for a while. Better resume too. Team AJ when they fight
Today’s Budget was a total humiliation for Rachel Reeves. She will go down as the worst Chancellor this country has ever had.
Her position is now untenable and she knows it👇
I can’t tell if people are upset with AJ, Jake Paul or just boxing in general …BUT let’s be very clear, every single boxer on planet earth with a pulse would take the Jake Paul fight.
If they say they wouldn’t they are telling porkies
Floyd Patterson - 188lbs
Jerry Quarry - 198lbs
Jimmy Ellis - 189lbs
Henry Cooper - 188lbs
Archie Moore - 191lbs
Bob Foster - 180lbs
These are the weights of some of the fighters Muhammad Ali beat which all add to his resume. Modern day Cruiserweights.
Now for fairness you need to add Gassiev, Breidis, Hunter, Huck, Bellew, Glowacki, Mchunu to Usyk’s resume and you’ll soon find it stands up in any era.
