Weeks after giving birth to her third baby and in the hospital with breast cancer, a St. John's woman is forever grateful to the strangers who stepped up to make Christmas happen for her kids nearly 30 years ago https://t.co/LfxHLpcykl
I’m entering hospice today. Will probably update every little if at all. But I wanted to say to be kind, be brave, be principled, be an idealist. Most importantly, be a decent human.
I love that we existed together, in this moment of time.
Cheers to the end of PGY1 - psychiatry all day, everyday from here on out 🥰 Grateful for most experiences this year, could’ve done without some others 😂 I look forward to never holding an otoscope or the other thingymajig ever again 🥳🥳🥳
The best place to relax is near water.
After just 2 minutes of viewing water outdoors, blood pressure and heart rate drop. It's more calming to look at a lake, pool, or stream than trees or grass.
Beaches are popular for a reason. Wider bodies of water bring more tranquility.
@JaneCoozeMD We have them, but switchboard seems to think it appropriate that if we don’t return a page, to give our our cell. Nevermind we may be on vacation, sick/bereavement leave, AHD, (or post call like I was when I was called today 🙃). Idk I think it’s wrong unless someone’s crashing
Anyone else rlly hate that switchboard has our cell phone numbers (& gives them out?). Twice this week I’ve been called on my cell when I am not working, including today when they were looking for a plastic surgery resident which is absolutely not me 😅🫠
I absolutely love interacting with nursing students & hyping them up. I have been a nursing student & no one is being harder scrutinized while they try to learn - plz be kind to them!!! (Nursing school was way harder than med imo & you wouldn’t pay me to do it again)
@CharityDrover Oh Charity, my heart breaks for you. I know how much you think of your girls. You have given Miss Lucie the very best of life & of yourself; if only all pups could be so lucky to know such great love ❤️ if I can do absolutely anything please reach out
My inner child (aka the little girl who was always a bit too nerdy to fully fit in) got to host book club today & chat with friends about our favorite reads for hours. She (& adult me) are ++ happy with where we ended up in life 💕
Told my nan I was coming home in October and her immediate response was “oh good, I need to measure the dog for his Christmas sweater”…ok thanks nan looking forward to seeing you also 😂
When I say go home, I sincerely mean it!! If anyone is doing otherwise, please learn to act right 😂 med school is hard enough without this guessing game of whether preceptors mean what they say.
A very successful first MUN Med PGY1 Book Club!! Yummy brunch foods, new friends & lots of book recommendations! Hope to have even more pals join in next month :)
