“The fastest way to become a billionaire in Mainland is to invest in 100 mama put food vendors. Give each ₦50,000 to cook. If each makes ₦200,000 in profit, pay them ₦50,000 as their earnings. In a year, you’ll make ₦1.8 billion.”
—Ubi Franklin (Davido’s associate)
No it shouldn’t be. Everybody should pay for what they goddamn ordered. I can’t be paying for mashed potatoes and oxtail when it was jollof rice I ordered for.
I completely understand why Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice haven’t returned yet. Saka is still recovering, while Rice played a huge number of matches last season, so giving them extra time off makes perfect sense.
The players I’m more surprised about are David Raya, Martin Zubimendi, Mikel Merino, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke.
If I were Zubimendi, I’d have been one of the first players back. After Myles Lewis-Skelly’s performances last season, I’d be desperate to remind Arteta why I deserve to start. Competition for places should push players to report early, not later.
The same applies to Eze and Madueke. Every extra day on the training pitch matters when you’re adapting to a new manager and a new system. The sooner they understand Arteta’s demands, the quicker they’ll settle into the team.
Raya’s situation also surprises me. Although he played a long season, he didn’t feature at the World Cup. Goalkeepers still need rhythm and match sharpness, so turning up just before the Community Shield isn’t the ideal preparation.
As for Merino, he wasn’t overloaded with minutes last season and wasn’t Spain’s regular starter at the World Cup either. I expected him to be back with the squad by now.
Maybe the club has a plan behind the scenes, but from a football perspective, I thought these players would already be training with the rest of the team.
🚨| Bruno Guimarães may face a battle to secure the number 39 shirt at Arsenal…
Guimarães is keen to wear the number 39 in honor of his father (the number symbolizes the taxi his father drove, which bore the number 039, in the city of Rio de Janeiro)
Young player Levi Copple wears the number 39 shirt.
And Guimarães may have to negotiate with Copple if he wants to maintain this tradition.

A man would put a woman on his visa, pay her flight fees, carry her on his back till she can stand on her own in the country, completely change her life for better and he won’t even think of it as “a lot”.
Some even consider it “responsibility”, women can be incredibly mean.
🚨💥 Yan Diomande to Real Madrid - DONE DEAL ✔️
There has only ever been one agreement: the one between YD and Real. Full agreement has now been reached with RB Leipzig including green light for his medical.
Transfer fee: €125m guaranteed.
Including realistic add-ons: €135m.
Total package, including difficult-to-achieve bonuses: €140m, as revealed.
The 19 y/o promising winger will sign a contract until 2031. Deal was always on and never in doubt, as reported. It simply took time for the clubs to reach an agreement. Saga is over.

Must be nice to have the luxury to replace £55 Million Zubimendi with £75 Million Bruno Guimaraes just 1 year later.
Or does that only apply to Manchester City?
