@maidenvaults Right of the first night is a First Men tradition and (from what we’ve seen) The Faith of the 7 is the religion that cares most about “purity”
@femmenyra AKOTSK was so good with portraying the “madness” as a learned behavior and a trauma response. “Aerion was quite the glad child once” is so heartbreaking and it sucks to see HotD regress into GoT’s lazy and childish view of madness
@belladonnafeli and with rhaenyra the only questionable decision she makes (that i can think of) is when she turns on the velaryons and dragon seeds but even then she’s been betrayed recently and i can see where she was coming from
@belladonnafeli if you mean skyler i don’t think so at all. i definitely don’t like when she sides with walt toward the end of the show but considering where she’s at with her kids i completely understand why she’s prioritizing her family’s safety and stability
@zaryaismywife part of me wishes dany was in Feast to enforce how much of the book is about women, but also i love how she is without a doubt the main character and focus of Dance
@hedgedknights i love the constellations and how the free folk have their own versions and names for them. that scene with jon and ygritte comparing their own cultures myths about the stars is so good
@vampnyra anytime F&B mentions somebody going to Dragonstone it’ll just be like “The maesters say it was a nice time on Dragonstone :)” and then it moves on immediately
@catofice he’d work so well in Dark Souls 1 because of how shriveled and dead you look when you’re not human. there would be in an world reason for Reek. also i’d like to see him get thrashed by Manus
@deligny_alice@belladonnafeli But also Jaime is just so complicated and compelling and he still doesn’t really understand what drives him, and until we get more books and more of his self-reflection I don’t think we can 100% determine what’s motivating him either
@deligny_alice@belladonnafeli There’s that great bit about “We’re sworn to protect her too” (referring to the abuse), and he certainly is driven to become a better person and not repeat his mistakes, but I’ve always seen that drive as being motivated by his sense of self and the way other people see him
