Proud to announce our first program facing FTE for #PancreaticCancer! We are hiring a project manager, ideally with clinical and leadership exp. They will help us innovate, with the primary goal to grow our patient-centered care in a complex med environment. @utswcancer@UTSWNews
Such a special honor… our UTSW MultiD pancreas program nurse navigator, Minda Hill RN, received the Strauss Award! Honoring staff exemplifying excellence, serves as a role model, and spirit of volunteerism. It’s a privilege to work with her. To her… patients always come first!
Calling all GI Surgery APPs! @SSATNews’s newest committee is dedicated to APPs. If you or an APP you know are interested please let me know! See info regarding membership and upcoming symposium at @DDWMeeting 2023 #GISurgery#SSAT#DDW2023#SSATAPPs
I’m not a hater but I do hate #PancreaticCancer. If you share this feeling please consider donating to the #purplestride 2022 @PanCAN. This year @UTSW_Surgery has a team“Watch me Whip…Watch me Whipple” (credit @_LannyLanny my team co-captain for name) https://t.co/WfT3ZQZhXE
Lan Vu, PA-C, Blake Foley, PA-C, and Aki Ohinata, PA-C take excellent care of our Surgical Oncology patients. So lucky to have this team @utswcancer#PAweek
@BjaEkin @pagethepa @AmerMedicalAssn I understand that and I’m not disagreeing with your statement. For many of us who are very content with our physician led teams and take a lot of pride in our profession, are disheartened by the language on this campaign.
@BjaEkin @pagethepa @AmerMedicalAssn If you say that we are not a target of this campaign then we need to be removed from it. Lumping us together like this is wrong when a MAJORITY of PAs prefer to work alongside their physicians and chose our careers because we want the team approach.
@lemur_katta1 @AmerMedicalAssn It’s very inflammatory and insulting to the entire profession of APPs to use scrabble tiles and insinuate that we are “playing games” with patient safety. If the AMA wants to get the message across, they need to rethink their strategy.
