Knicks pull off a Game 4 W for the ages. My takeaways:
-The Spurs need a heartbreak to prep for their eventual Championship, and tonight was it. Every great team has gone through this. They'll cry in the locker room tonight and be better for it in the coming seasons
-I never felt SAS' lead was safe. The Knicks are the more mature team, they're physical, and they smell blood when it's in the water. You can't let a team like that hang around. You gotta kill them off fully
-Experience is trumping talent in this series. The Spurs are the most talented team left, but the "somewhat" talented, ultra-experienced extremely gritty Knicks know how to close. Last year's heartbreak, imo, against Indiana built this
-Beat the Spurs now. Because Wemby and Dylan Harper for the next 10 years is scary.
@jimmysbrotha@tomhaberstroh@YahooSports According to idiots on the internet Mitch Johnson should also be fired after taking a team that didn’t make the playoffs last year to Finals in his first year as head coach 😂
@para3allic@tomhaberstroh@YahooSports 2026 All-Star De’aaron Fox has been a Spurs problem all season? 😂😂😂😂
Ya’ll are ridiculous with the overreactions lmao
We're going to see plenty of media members and fans blaming De’Aaron Fox for the Game 4 loss and it's going to get ugly.
I won’t be one of them.
Yes, the late turnover was costly. No, it wasn’t the reason the Spurs lost a game they once led by 29 points.
This loss belongs to the coaches. The players. The execution. The inexplicably dense decisions. The inability to close out possessions and manage critical moments throughout the second half.
NBA and Finals games are rarely lost on a single play. This one certainly wasn’t.
Be angry. Point fingers. Cope however you need to.
But turning Fox into the scapegoat and accusing him of being part of a betting scandal won’t help the Spurs win Game 5 on Saturday.

@hothandsports1@Jumpshot8@LVjustwin@ShaxFoo They are looking for a scapegoat and it’s hilarious. Fox wasn’t going to dribble out 12 seconds. It was a one possession game however you slice it lol. Sore losers just always looking for someone to blame lol
@Freetakes4@bansky Yeah so Spurs should fire him after 1 season. A season where he took the Spurs from the 13th seed, to the number 2 seed and an NBA Finals appearance 😂😂😂 stfu and cope harder. Ya’ll are insufferable
A Lay-Up is the highest percentage shot you can take in basketball. Free-throws aren’t guaranteed. Please wrap this Fox narrative up and give the Knicks credit already.
@BrettSiegelNBA Completely disagree. He pulls up and maybe misses both FTs and then the narrative is he had a breakaway layup and should’ve taken it. OG just made an incredible play. Give credit where credit is due
