✨🇲🇽 Gilberto Mora became the youngest ever player to score for the Mexican National Team at just 17.
Youngest-ever player to debut for Mexico, youngest player in football history to win a senior international title, youngest Mexican ever to play at a World Cup, youngest goalscorer.
Would have loved this transfer. He is a really hard working player that can play LW/ST and has turned into a leader as time goes on. He is really experienced and wouldn’t have demanded to be a starter.
@CFCDaily Why? From midfielders that we have he was the most promising one but he has to sold because we can make profit with his sale. The only way this doesn’t look bad is if we bring an upgrade, but with Blueco that’s rarely the case
Gianluca Di Marzio claims Chelsea want to swing public opinion in their favour, through their stance on Enzo Maresca. He dismisses it as a PR strategy, especially as they’ve been paid compensation.
He said – via TuttoNapoli: “I smiled a little bitterly at the reconstructions Chelsea have made. They have imposed, if you will, a version of the story that you will all have clearly understood did not happen that way.
“City had to pay a whopping €20m to release Maresca and make him manager of Manchester City. Chelsea have insisted on a reconstruction of the story, making it seem that Maresca caused damage to the club. That he was only thinking about Manchester City, that by resigning he created problems for the club, and all these various reconstructions which, I repeat, tell a distorted truth.”
Ripping into Chelsea further, Di Marzio criticised how they handled Maresca’s time at the club.
“Chelsea is in a very particular situation where the manager can’t always act with complete autonomy and independence, and that’s also what happened with Enzo Maresca, who at a certain point had to say enough because the situation was unbearable.”
Branding it as a case of twisting the truth, the journalist said: “Now the whole thing has been twisted and turned around only to try to get out of it cleanly with the Blues fans, but everyone in the know knows that the truth isn’t what was told by the power of a press release and the power of money.”

@ConnCFC Exactly! Patience and Positivity are earned through signs of progress and intention of competing, not by changing squad and manager every season
“They have been naive but are learning and ambitious.” They’ve had 4 years and they have never shown that they’re ambitious. Until appointing Alonso, they were doubling down on their failing strategy. Patience is earned, they need to show something worth waiting for
Fans are like customers. They are always right and entitled, never wrong or taking any form of responsibility.
It's true that the club changed hands and things changed, but at this point, we can't go back to the former administration; rather, we must join hands to make this work. Crying over the past doesn't fix the future.
If we as fans accept that we are a rebuilding club and support the manager when results turn, the club won't get reactive and sack again. That's just the truth whether you accept it or not. Hostility and toxicity from fans will always weigh heavily on decisions at any club. Look at Liverpool and Slot, for example. Clubs feel that heat and react to it, because just like a trader can't afford to lose his customers, the club can't afford to lose the fans.
The new administrators have made mistakes; no sugarcoating that. They have been naive but are learning and ambitious. But they will need the fans to drive the club to a greater height.
If we keep thinking we must be toxic to pass any form of message, it will keep derailing our season, leading to more change and setting us back.
We have only one solution at the moment: PATIENCE.
@GoldbergCFC We need to stop villainising these players every-time they leave this shitshow of a mess blue co have created. Just diverts attention away from the actual people responsible for why anyone would want to leave in the first place.
Why do these pr*cks always have to try publicly justify transfers through media briefs with fabricated/ dishonest nonsense? They're so deeply insecure.
“I can’t wait until they sell Jackson” replaced with Delap
“I can’t wait until they sell KDH” replaced by Brighton loan that ended in January
“I can’t wait until they sell Felix and Nkunku” replaced by Garnacho and Gittens
And guys think they can replace a player like Enzo Fernandez 😂😂
@Blue_Footy Europa League it’s a second pathway to UCL and it’s also about standards. The point of league football is to finish as high as possible in the league.
I’m sorry but this guy is a talking piece of PR. What you are describing is how normal football works, almost no other top club runs their wages on incentives, don’t act like it needs to be like that.
Most argument people are making for Enzo is that he's been our best player and deserves whatever he's asking for.
But, is he going to be the best forever? His form could deep next season and another player becomes the best, then that player will demand better wages. Is it sustainable?
Cole Palmer was the best player before him. Nobody knows tomorrow. That's why salary cap exists. We can't afford to put ourselves in that kind of situation where every season, the best player will demand extravagant wages.
It doesn't make any sense. Form is a temporary thing. We have to reward top players through performance related bonuses not only wages, unless it's within the wage structure.
Performance is earned, nobody will frown at it but if he gets bigger wages than everyone, then if another performs better, he will ask for better contract and use that as a reference. That's why I feel it's unsustainable.
Also, I believe Chelsea as a club really want Enzo to stay which is important, but if the contract extention talks is stalling, it means he's asking the club for what's above the wage structure because I don't think Chelsea will have any issues giving him what Palmer or Caicedo is earning.
It’s just that targeting doesn’t mean anything if we don’t get him. We targeted and talked with Luis Enrique and Nagelsmann but didn’t get any of the two. So don’t expect people to believe easily after everything that’s happened
The right thing is targeting a well qualified coach for the team in Alonso. I'm sure your tongue will turn 90° and rant if the reports are making Marco Silva the favourites.
Nothing satisfy you guys. There is always 'but' in everything even if it's a good sign.
