Kansas committee chairs will tell folks they agree with weeks in advance about a bill hearing & then tell the public at the last minute. A legislator (Sen. Steffen) explicitly said that this is to stop members of the public they disagree with from being able to testify.

What a shame. I get that some states are frustrated with what seems like a difficult “problem”. I don’t understand giving into cruelty when confronting the challenge. This motivates me to learn Spanish, be a friend, and provide assistance when/where I can.
