Data centers are the leading cause of a 76% increase in the cost of electricity for America's largest power grid over just the first 3 months of this year, according to Bloomberg.

The 13-state grid managed by PJM serves 67 million people, and costs have spiked this year.

This time last year the cost of electricity on this grid was $77.78 per megawatt-hour. Now that cost has almost doubled to $136.53 per megawatt-hour.

Bloomberg attributes that skyrocketing cost to the "booming demand from artificial intelligence data centers, which require vast amounts of energy and are putting a significant burden on America’s aging power grids."

5 minutes before the President announced a halt to attacks on Iran… someone placed a $1.5 BILLION bet on stocks going up and dumped $192 million in oil.

These trades were 4 to 6 times larger than anything else in the entire market. Whoever did this wasn’t guessing. You don’t risk $1.5 billion on a hunch.

There was zero public indication this announcement was coming. No leaks. No press. Nothing. The only people who knew were in the room when the decision was made.

Someone in that room picked up a phone.
And within minutes they made more money than most Americans will earn in a thousand lifetimes. In a single trade. On a war that cost you $4+ a gallon gas and $16 billion in tax dollars.

American citizens funded this war. Politicians are profiting from it.

This is not the first time. Every major announcement from this administration has had massive suspicious trades right before it dropped. Tariff reversals. Policy shifts. War decisions.

This is the most blatant insider trading operation in the history of American politics. It’s not even close. And it’s happening over and over in broad daylight.

You would go to federal prison for trading on a tip from your cousin. These people are front running war decisions with billion dollar bets and nobody will ever ask a single question.

Nobody will be investigated. Nobody will be charged. By tomorrow this will be buried under the next satisfying headline. Just like last time. And the time before that.

The game is rigged. And they’re not even trying to hide it anymore…

This country is in for a very rocky 18 months or two years. If the Conservatives allow themselves to be know as the party that wouldn’t stand up to Trump, or to secessionists — or as the party that sided with either — it will spend another generation, possibly two, out of power.
Don’t kid yourself: there are significant sections of the party base, and of the conservative intelligentsia, who are indulgent of, if not favourable to, both — annexation and separation.
That number is likely to grow, not fall, as the pressure on Canada, and the party, grows: as Trump gets crazier, and his secessionist helpmates more brazen, those who are now counselling meet appeasement may grow more desperate, and more ambitious.
That’s partly why you see Conservative elder statesmen like Stephen Harper and Jason Kenney speaking out. Yes, they want to help their country. But they’re also trying to drag their party back to sanity.
One early clue to whether anyone is listening will be how they deal with Jivani. At the moment, the signs are not encouraging. If they can’t even bring themselves to deal with Jivani, who holds no party office, it’s scarcely likely they’ll deal seriously with Trump. And for the same reason: Jivani speaks for many in the party. They know it.
And he knows it. Jivani has thrown down the gauntlet to the party establishment. At the moment, it seems no one is willing to pick it up.

Finland is ready to review Russians’ real estate deals — even retroactively

Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen said authorities may examine all property transactions from the past 20 years if they involved citizens of countries outside the EU and the European Economic Area.

The move is justified by national security concerns. Any type of property could be affected — apartments, houses, or land plots.

Helsinki has admitted that previous oversight was “too naive.”

Since July 2025, Russian and Belarusian citizens have already been banned from purchasing property in Finland. Now the government is considering intervening in past deals as well.
