@mrs_redford I was so miserable I quit probation in October! My mental health was in pieces. Started in a different school in January and couldn't be happier. Keep going, things get better! Xx
Just remembered that one of the lunchtime supervisors mistook me for a pupil today π Thought it was bad being mistaken for a secondary student, never thought it would happen at primary π
First day with my new class tomorrow! Despite all the stress over will/won't schools be shut, I'm actually feeling prepared and excited to see them in the morning π. Although there's still a good chance I'll wake up in a panic at 3am π
First day as a probationer teacher tomorrow! I've spent the last week overcome with nerves and feeling so unprepared but have come to peace with the fact that no one can be completely prepared for something they've never done before. Taking each day as it comes ππ§ββοΈ
@MissBurke11 I've got P3 too π I'm thinking about reading "The Day the Crayons Quit" then building the class charter around it (why it's important to make everyone feel valued and look after each other etc).
Work in progress but started to hand paint the signs for my door (if we're allowed them come August!). Nice relaxing project to do in the garden on a sunny day πβοΈ #nqt
@ScottPughsley I had this same wobble when I was 9. My dad promised me he'd live to be 100. He died suddenly a few months later. The false promise made everything worse. I didn't trust any reassurance from adults afterwards and always expected the worst to happen. Comfort them but be honest β€
Did a virtual "All About Me" bag lesson with my new class today. Was so lovely seeing their video responses! Excited to meet them all in person in August π
@yellow_curtis The council emailed me on Friday about the school and I emailed the HT today who told me which class I'll have π Hope you hear soon! π€
