He left a Benfica side playing in the Champions League to join a struggling Chelsea team.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, BlueCo, who promised him a great project, gave him Graham Potter as coach, then Lampard, Pochettino, and Maresca.

To add salt to the injury, they sacked Maresca, who was the best mid of the bunch, and appointed Liam Rosenior, the tech boy. Even an U21 coach McFarlane, managed Enzo, a double world champion.

Despite playing through all these mid managers and always giving his all, the fans still criticized him and blamed him whenever things went wrong. He was constantly used as the scapegoat.
