BREAKING: The New York Times has admitted that the Gazan child they plastered on the front page as malnourished was actually suffering from pre-existing health issues.
Once again, they spread propaganda to the world—then quietly walk it back after the damage is done.
To the Editors of the @nytimes ,
You cannot take it back.
You cannot retract the hate, the trauma, the global damage unleashed by your grotesque editorial failure.
On July 28, 2025, you published a photo and story of a Gazan child, Mohammed Zakaria al-Mutawaq, under the headline of "severe malnutrition." The image was haunting — weaponized across the internet, used by antisemites worldwide, and circulated by hostile regimes and terror-sympathizers as evidence of Israeli genocide.
But it was a lie.
And you knew it.
You now quietly admit — on an account with a fraction of your main platform’s reach — that Mohammed had “pre-existing health problems.” That critical detail was nowhere to be found when your original post exploded across social media, igniting a firestorm of anti-Israel hatred and emboldening global antisemitism.
This is modern blood libel.
It is not enough to append a meek Editor’s Note in the shadows of an alternate account with 88,000 followers. The original post came from your account with 55 million followers. The retraction must go there — front and center. In print. On the homepage. On your social platforms. With the same urgency and visibility with which you spread the falsehood.
Your actions have consequences:
The photo was reposted thousands of times by antisemites, influencers, and propagandists.
It entered the bloodstream of global media and misinformation.
It gave ammunition to those who cheer Hamas while cloaking themselves in humanitarianism.
The trauma caused to the Jewish community — already reeling from October 7 — is immeasurable. You poured fuel on the fire of an already raging wave of antisemitism.
Accountability demands more than an asterisk.
The authors and editors responsible must be held accountable. Firing them is not radical — it’s ethical.
A formal apology should run on the front page — in print and online.
Financial restitution should be considered for organizations battling antisemitic hate that spiked in response to your reporting.
You must commit to better standards — not only for fact-checking but for understanding how terrorists weaponize images of children to manipulate the press.
You were warned. Repeatedly.
Human rights monitors, IDF spokespeople, and doctors have documented Hamas’s systematic use of sick children as propaganda.
You chose narrative over nuance. Agenda over accuracy.
You amplified a lie that harmed an entire people.
So again, I ask:
Have you no shame?
History will remember who told the truth — and who spread the blood libels of 2025.
— A citizen who still believes journalism must serve truth, not terror
“Today is slave market day. I want a blue-eyed Yazidi girl, the younger the better.”
This is how Islamic State terrorists enslaved Yazidi girls.
Over 2,500 Yazidi girls still remain sexually enslaved across the Muslim world.
Not a single protest!
Israel is the only country that is not allowed to win a war.
Jews are the only people on the planet who are not allowed to defend themselves after attack.
This isn’t Gaza, but Al Fashir in Sudan.
25 million people are experiencing extreme hunger in Sudan.
But no one in the West cares let alone knows about this, because the man responsible is the Muslim Brotherhood backed General al-Burhan.
As they say: “no Jews, no news”.
Israelis are disgusting! Look at them while Gaza starves.
Wait, what’s that?
This isn’t Israel?
What? This is where…?
This is footage from today at Al-Sahaba market in Gaza City, completely packed with food.
So much for starvation.
The average Gazan eats better than you!
Hey. Planet Earth.
I am not ok.
Your Jewish friends, relatives, neighbours, co-workers and acquaintances. We are not ok.
80 years ago, 35% of our race was exterminated. Ethnically cleansed. That would be the equivalent of a genocide today that took 116M American lives.
After the Holocaust ended, Israel was declared a state, giving the Jewish people a homeland. And a promise that they’d always have somewhere to go, for when people next tried to conquer them.
Ever since then, Israel has been attacked. Bombed. Sanctioned. Threatened.
And then. Oct 7.
The most savage, barbaric massacre imaginable. Shattering the security, not only of people in Israel, but of Jews around the world who consider it our homeland.
And then every day since.
Chants for the destruction of Israel.
Calls for “Intifada”, or “global uprising” against the Jewish people.
Harassment and intimidation of Jews in their homes, businesses, places of worship or just on the streets.
Anti-Jew posters and vandalism throughout cities across the globe.
Threatening of Jews on college and university campuses.
Attempts to delegitimize Israel and Jewish people.
The same types of events that happened in the 1930s.
The same type of events that led up to the Holocaust.
So no. We are not ok.
We are not ok seeing the same signs today in 2025 that saw the ethnic cleansing of 35% of our global population 80 years ago.
We are not ok having our lives threatened, knowing there is an ideology whose objective it is to rid the world of our people.
And mostly, we are not ok that most of the world stays silent.
Thankfully, you cannot empathize with us, as I don’t know of another race that has gone through this.
But hopefully, you can see what’s going on, and you can sympathize with us.
And most importantly, we hope you find your voice, as many of us have found ours since Oct 7. And that you stand up and speak up against hate. Against the evil ideology that wants to rid the world of Jews and of anything that isn’t them.
And hopefully, together, we can beat that evil.
Because this time, they won’t stop at 35%. Nor will they stop with the Jews.
Gazan woman calls for the eradication of Israel “from the river to the sea” and wants the “Jews and the Jewish people” to “get out of here” and leave the Jewish homeland.
Explain this to me: under international law Israel has to provide aid to Gazans but Hamas doesn’t have to release Israeli hostages?
Is that the way it works?
MarinaMedvin Yes, the Jews were the last ethnic group to rule the land of Israel as their homeland before 1948, via the independent Hasmonean kingdom (140-63 BCE). So in Canada, Muslims can pray all over the street and sing about eradicating Jews from the Middle East…
But how dare a Christian singer and worship leader come to Canada to worship Christ?
The food, medicine and aid are IN Gaza. The @UN won’t distribute it. Hundreds of truckloads are sitting there. The trucks are loaded. Demand they deliver.
Yesterday, Hamas again rejected a U.S.-brokered ceasefire deal that Israel accepted. Where’s your unequivocal condemnation?
Yes, I’m suspicious when I see images of well-nourished parents holding their apparently starving children. It’s not being heartless, it’s just not being brainless.
Hi @grok. True or false: when David Ben-Gurion declared Israel’s independence in 1948, he expressly called upon Arab inhabitants to stay and become equal citizens in the new state with due representation; but the following day, 5 Arab armies invaded and tried to destroy Israel.
In the future, scientists will have to study the strange phenomenon of the famine in Gaza that seems to impact only little children.
Adults seem to be immune!
Hamas: We refuse to release the hostages.
We won't accept a ceasefire.
We remain committed to destroying Israel.
We will still hide behind Palestinian civilians.
World: Let's give them a state!
