Ontario's principals & vice-principals oppose the government’s move to pass legislation, overriding the protections enshrined in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, imposing a collective agreement on
CUPE members in Ontario. Full statement: https://t.co/9Hy51ilJ3a
Bill 28 is an attack on all workers. OPSEU/SEFPO education workers will be walking off the job on Friday in solidarity with CUPE colleagues, and their union will have their back. https://t.co/hi8osgkUFV #39KisNotEnough#EducationMatters#onted#onpoli#onlab
I did not realize that the Federal government can challenge the a province when it makes use of the notwithstanding clause.
If this legislation passed I call upon the Federal government to challenge the Ford government’s misuse of section 33 of the Charter.
Retweet if you agree that Ontario needs to end the wage suppression of nurses when hospital shutdowns are occurring due to a shortage of nurses. #RepealBill124
I went for a long bike ride through @TwpOroMedonte today. I don’t ever recall seeing so many RED signs during an election campaign before!! So nice to see people are considering change @Jedi_Lehman Let’s go @cityofbarrie and @springwatertwp Education and Healthcare need help!!
This is the start of the healthcare privatization that @fordnation claims isn’t happening. These are some of the tests that are no longer covered by OHIP. February 2021.
Expect more of the same if the @OntarioPCParty forms another majority government.
RT and share widely.
So let me get this straight. During the first 10 months of Ontario’s rapid test program, private schools got more taxpayer funded rapid tests than paramedics, daycares, shelters & jails combined. And only 1/5th of the rapid tests went to COVID hotspots?
Outrageous.
@CityMelanie I really miss city news listing simcoe county on the storm center when it is applicable. FYI all buses in simcoe county are canceled today.
I believe in the right to protest.
But there are lines that can't be crossed. Desecrating the tomb of the unknown soldier and Terry Fox's statue is not protest, it's disrespectful and disgusting. Both memorials represent shining examples of fighting for a better world.
In 2019, the Ford gov increased class sizes & removed the previous @OntLiberal government’s class size cap of 22 students. This resulted in thousands of teachers laid off & crowded class rooms. This had detrimental consequences in this pandemic. #onpoli
