i once heard someone say “if there are 12 Nazis in a room and they ask you to have dinner with them and you agree, then there are 13 Nazis in that room” and i think a lot of people fundamentally don’t understand that. but it’s 100% true.
I applaud the @England for the work they have done to stand up against racism & homophobia. What a pity that only one of them felt strongly enough to stand up for abused women. Goes to show what a long, way there is to go in men’s football to make sexism & misogyny unacceptable.
Sickening to me that someone charged with what Thomas Partey has been charged with is still playing football on the world’s biggest stage. Good for Djed Spence for refusing to shake his hand. Declan Rice going over to give him a massive hug, on the other hand….
The world is about to get a master class in antisemitism.
Israel's minister Ben Gvir's behavior towards the flotilla activists was unacceptable. I said so myself.
World leaders all posted angry denunciations of the Israeli government and summoned Israeli ambassadors for a dressing down.
Here, the same activists are receiving much more brutal treatment at the hands of the Spanish government. What we won't see however is an international outcry against the Spanish government.
This imbalance isn't due to the vagaries of international diplomacy. People hold the Jewish state to a higher standard than they do any other state, and fundamentally it's due of bigotry and hatred.
@AnitaAnandMP
@NYCMayor There was never any “Nakba.” It’s a lie.
Jews accepted peace, Arabs didn’t. Five Arab armies declared war on Israel in 1948 and lost. That’s all there is to it.
Fuck off.
I find it insane that people proudly declare, "I support Israel's right to exist," as though existence itself is a privilege that must be debated or granted.
Do you ever hear anyone say they support France's right to exist? Japan's? America's? Any other nation on Earth?
No. Because no country besides @Israel is forced to justify its existence to the world.
When politicians make this statement, people applaud them like they just made some brave moral statement. They didn't. They stated something so basic it should never have to be said in the first place.

The only reason any of you believe that Israel trained dogs to rape Palestinian prisoners is because you WANT to believe that Israel trained dogs to rape Palestinian prisoners.
If you have a harder time believing Israeli women were raped by Hamas captors than you do that Palestinian prisoners were raped by *checks notes* dogs, that says a lot about you.
I love the U.K., a man can run around the streets stabbing people for being Jewish, and the issue people debate is whether the police officers trying to remove the knife from him used excessive force. Proof that we will do absolutely anything to avoid addressing antisemitism.
Just a small shout-out to each and every one of my fellow Jews out there who now find themselves working really hard not to spend their entire evening telling people on the internet to fuck off.
Today, a man ran through Golders Green, a Jewish neighborhood in London, stabbing Jews outside a synagogue in broad daylight.
The UK PM called it "utterly appalling."
Here's what's actually appalling:
For two years, Western streets have hosted marches calling for the elimination of Israel. Universities have celebrated it. Politicians have legitimized it. The media has normalized it.
You don't get to spend two years mainstreaming the idea that Jews and their state have no right to exist and then act shocked when someone takes the message literally.
Words have consequences. "From the river to the sea" isn't poetry. "Globalize the intifada" isn't a metaphor.
When you spend years telling the world that Jewish presence in the Middle East or in Golders Green is a problem to be solved, don't be surprised when someone shows up with a knife to solve it.
The ideology and the blade are the same weapon. One just has a longer handle.
You’re the Mayor of London, not the Foreign Secretary. Why are you in Madrid obsessing over Gaza instead of doing the job Londoners actually elected you to do?
Why is my London Assembly tax contribution being spent on sending the mayor of LONDON to MADRID to meet the Prime Minister of SPAIN so they can talk about GAZA?!
Antisemitism is believing that because a single Israeli soldier desecrated a cross, you think all of Israel is evil but when tens of thousands of Gazans cheer the rape and murder of Israelis, it’s not indicative of their culture.
Keir Starmer said the people attacking the Jewish community will face "the full force of the law".
One of the arsonists pleaded guilty today.
So they sent him home.
Hey @Keir_Starmer
If that is the "full force of the law" what would leniency look like?
Asking for a friend.
