“ Genocide is defined in international law precisely to create an obligation to act. To witness such a crime and deliberately refuse to use the term is, in effect, genocide denial, perhaps even a form of aiding and abetting. “ - HE Paul Kagame
Words carry memory, truth, and responsibility. As we commemorate, let us speak with care, respect, and accuracy. It is the Genocide against the Tutsi, and it deserves to be called as such. Naming it correctly honors those we remember.

Rwanda is backing its youth by investing in the creative economy—unlocking real jobs driven by skill and talent, not just degrees.
This is how we build opportunity and a future that works. Thank you @RwandaYouthArts@RwandaICT@RwandaLabour for supporting the creative and digital economy #Jobs4youth
Murebe ubu bwiza, amahoro n’ ubukungu Inkotanyi za haraniye kudutuzamo. Mwarakoze kubohora uru Rwanda rwiza nabarwo!
Looking at these hills of peace on a day such as this, knowing we probably wouldn’t have been this privileged to call this home, be born and raised in safety and move in all corners with no fear or uncertainty of the next hour or day, all I can feel is praise and thankfulness for every brave individual who dared move towards a dark, unsafe country to reclaim her. We are truly thankful and forever indebted to you all❤️
Happy 31st Liberation Day Rwanda🇷🇼✊

Yesterday at the @WAVESummitIndia 2025 in Mumbai, I had the honor of witnessing Rwanda's leadership during the ministerial round table as discussions on advancing the creative economy on the global stage were held.
A huge thank you to the high commissioner of Rwanda to India, @MUKANGIRA1 and Rwanda’s minister of youth and arts Mr. @jnabdallah for representing us with such distinction and vision!
A powerful exchange with Indonesia’s Minister of Cultural Affairs, Fadli Zon, highlighted our shared belief that the creative industry can significantly drive economic growth.
An insightful and experience based conversation with Mr Ralph Simon, a pioneer in the global music and creative industry added more certainty that the creative industry can and should play a larger role.
These interactions reaffirm Rwanda’s commitment to fostering global partnerships and enhancing our creative industry’s footprint worldwide.

So far so good!! Learning, observing, soaking it all in, and who am I not to share my favorite takeaways from #WAVESummit so far:
“The only way to reach a global scene is to tell local stories.” THE @alluarjun ( Yes the Bollywood superstar).
Heard from India’s wealthiest man, matter fact all of Asia’s; Mukesh Ambani, the four action points going forward for the world’s creative industry;
1.Don’t miss out on opportunities.
2.Invest in content clusters (you know tech and actual skills training)
3. Make the creative industry an industry of its own (and that takes investment)
4.Creators, see the world as your market, create content that speaks to all cultures, not just your local audience!
And lastly, make partnerships beyond home.
That wasn’t just advice, it was a mandate from #India‘s Prime Minister @narendramodi himself.
Rwanda welcomes India. Rwanda welcomes the world!

Glad that @63create and @multimediahubRW are represented by @_Ndabaga_ who will be actively involved in the conversation from learning about world best practices and how to build a much stronger creative economy in Rwanda.
This land has fed us from her soil, raised us with her seasons, and still carries us in her arms. No grudge or personal quarrel should poison her well, for this is not my country or yours alone,it is ours, a shared inheritance we must tend together as co-keepers of her tomorrow
Every time especially during the commemoration period I think I’ve been exposed to all information and facts yet each time the reality of numbers and the depth of testimonies and facts shared never cease to shock me! Nonetheless we learn so not to let history repeat itself, we learn to remember, to honour and mostly to be able to educate the generations to come. All in all this is to say thank you to those individuals, media and other entities sharing and giving us access to information about our history and current events. For the time taken and the effort to write, post, gather, research, and for putting aside all other content and potential trends, trust it is not in vain.

This commemoration is going to be one of the most triggering we have ever had due to the geopolitical tension. We should except a spike in Genocide denial, revision, hate speech and psychological attacks. Its crucial more than ever to stand together and fight, be there for survivors and each other. Ariko niduhumure twaratsinze nibi bizashira.
Did a little something with Groove Kigali and now more than ever I am more confident in we the youth being able and willing to take our futures and our careers by the horns.
My biggest take home was that Dreams Don’t Work Unless You Do, after all fortune favours the bold. Here is to putting our names out there and leveraging our safe nation, growing our networks and earning off our skills and passions🤝
Looking forward to more #GrooveWithPurpose
“Guhamagarira isi yose guteranira ku Rwanda koko” PK Core🤭
Someone please translate this to French so they(“Battle Field Of Europe”) don’t miss the message and humor💀
Take away points; the desperate need to try and gather whole “Giant” nations because of dear old Rwanda is hilarious, embarrassing even😭🤦♀️
