@nigelbagshaw hard to see from the 2022 accounts how it can be spun it's making a profit, even if you remove the 8.5m back to the council (which the public are surely still paying for?)
@nigelbagshaw If the road has to remain then there's not much you could change about the layout which is definitely squeezed.
On the roseburn route I'm still very much to be convinced. Financially it seems insane given trams making a loss of 10M/yr as of 2022 report?
@nigelbagshaw Cars or roads? There's always going to be demand for buses so the roads would stay. It just feels like there's going to be a huge amount of disruption, cost and lose lots of fantastic walking and cycling infrastructure. How big is the short fall in capacity along leith walk?
@nigelbagshaw Why are electric buses off the table. Does it HAVE to be served by tram and not new bus links. Imagine 5/10 years into the future and fully electric buses are feasible. As leith walk has shown the city isn't big enough for usable shared space between 4 modes of transport
@zipcpu My guess is it's trying to be maximally pessimistic about your actual intent here - and that you *may* have meant 4'b1000 to represent 8. I would suggest not using implicit integers all over the show - I've seen a few posts from you along these lines, and use 'd8, or 5'd8?
@PidginPosting I hope someone's been taking notes, there weren't any extraneous factors noted in the released data about traffic volumes even though there were related nearby road closures!
@PidginPosting Cheers, was checking on Fife too since a lot of through traffic from there...same deal, so hopefully a fair comparison. Will be interested to see next set of numbers
