14.3 Q:2 #GNED1411 the 3 most useful things I learned in this course definitely were, 1. learning about Social Media tools & how to use them, 2. Facebook & Privacy, learning about how to properly set privacy settings, 3. Using social media for business & networking.

13.2 Social media can be used in education to connect the students. In a program, many of the students are in the same classes/block. Having a group or some way of connecting on social media can give you insight into a classmates life, which can lead to new friendships #GNED1411

It would be interesting to see Skype used more in a classroom setting. For example, allowing students in a college setting join the class over skype if they were home sick. It could also be used for student - professor meetings or questons. #GNED1411 13.2

An additional way social media can be used for education is through Pinterest; people are researching different topics everyday & Pinterest is a separate websites to that includes different educational pages from different users #GNED1411 13.2

12.3 I believe that “hashtag activism” is powerful. The tags can start a trend and can make exposure greater when it is making the rounds. Sometimes word can even travel onto news outlets. Digital activism can make a difference! #GNED1411

Individuals are using social media to spread awareness about Muslims being sent to concentration camps in China; what started as a tik tok video has spread to many platforms of social media (i.e. instagram, Snapchat) #GNED1411 12.2
