We're proud of the partnerships and relationships that we have built with our customers, many of whom return to us time and time again.

[OceanIQ @_OceanIQ]

With almost 150 year's of experience between then, our team's passion for success and their intrinsic knowledge of the ocean floor is at the heart of what we do. And it’s clear that our customers feel the same way

"We believe that risk is best assessed at the planning stage, when mitigations are easiest to integrate into the cable system design."

We know how and why cable faults occur - our aim is to prevent them.

We had some fantastic feedback from a client recently following a Desktop Study project

[OceanIQ @_OceanIQ]

"Route engineering and consultancy is the process of designing a cable route to maximise the cable system’s future security whilst making sure that it is safe and economical to install."

Fabulous feedback for our Route Engineer James Georgiev for work on a recent Desktop Study project in British Columbia, Canada. Well deserved, but always a boost to hear it directly from our valued customers.

SubOptic week is finally here!

It only comes around once every 3 years, and is one of the highlights of our event calendar. We hope to catch up with you at some point this week....

In many parts of the globe the seabed is congested which is a big risk to new cables & to the acquisition of permits. Our Route Engineers deliver optimised cable routes that are more secure from an earlier stage than ever. Find out more from Stuart & Matt: https://t.co/eU5p0Oyu9f

Our Route Planning Manager @Matt West, is joining one of SubOptic 2025's new 'Introducing' Sessions.

Come along to learn more from Matt about Route Planning & Survey, alongside @Graham Evans from @EGS International Survey Group

[OceanIQ @_OceanIQ]

Working with various organisations inc. survey companies, cable installers, telecom system suppliers and power cable project developers, we can complete route engineering work during and after the survey is completed – this is known as Micro Routeing.

[OceanIQ @_OceanIQ]

Macro Routeing of a subsea telecoms or power cable project happens before a survey starts and utilises previously collected GIS and survey data to optimise a cable route.

Our team's passion for success and their intrinsic knowledge of the ocean floor is at the heart of what we do. And it’s clear that our customers feel the same way, particularly this customer following a Desktop Study on a power cable in the UK.

The earliest cable in our GeoCable® database dates back to 1851. This was the first commercial cable ever installed and ran from England to France, installed by the Brett brothers.

Determining reliable cable ampacities for marine High Voltage Cables is a subject of significant industry & academic reassessment.

Only 5% of fibre optic cable faults in the last 25 years can be attributed to system failures.

Our cable fault heatmaps overlay historic cable fault data assessing the likelihood of a fault occurring .

With such a great team here at OceanIQ, fabulous feedback like this never surprises us, but we’re always delighted to receive it!

We’re looking forward to working with you again too…
